Chapter 18: The Prank Candy

At this moment, the villagers surrounded them, seeing Oolong defeated by John Doe and Bulma. They raised their hoes, axes, and machetes, intending to kill Oolong.

Oolong screamed in fear and hid behind Son Goku.

John Doe quickly stopped the villagers, saying, "Let's spare him. He only extorted some money and didn't harm anyone's life. He's guilty but doesn't deserve death."

A villager shouted, "We can let him go, but he must tell us where he took the girls!"

"Yes, he must tell us what happened to the girls!" the other villagers chimed in.

To prevent Oolong from escaping again, John Doe tied his hands with a rope and handed the other end to Son Goku. Together, they escorted Oolong to his home.

On a mountain peak not far from the town, there was a relatively large palace—Oolong's house.

The villagers rushed inside as soon as they reached Oolong's home, shouting their daughters' names.

Soon, they found their daughters in a room, but the scene before them was unexpected. Instead of being mistreated by Oolong, the girls were doing yoga, playing mahjong, smoking, and most of them were adorned with jewelry.

The villagers stood at the door, speechless, seeing their once innocent daughters transformed.

The girls noticed Oolong's return but were upset that he was tied up. They demanded that their parents untie him.

Some girls asked Oolong to prepare food for them, while others asked him to buy them new jewelry.

At this moment, a villager broke the silence and asked his daughter, "Did Oolong mistreat you?"

His daughter replied, "Mistreat? No, I think being Oolong's bride is wonderful."

Indeed, how could it not be wonderful? Oolong did everything for them, and they only needed to enjoy themselves. It was like living in paradise compared to their previous lives, where they had to take care of the fields, livestock, and household chores.

Oolong felt like his grievances were finally understood and began to cry. "I don't know why, but the pure and kind girls who come to me become extravagant and materialistic. I just want a kind and innocent girl. Why is it so hard to find one?"

In the end, despite the girls' pleas, they were taken home by their parents.

John Doe and Bulma also obtained the fifth Dragon Ball—the six-star ball. They decided to bring Oolong along, as Bulma thought his transformation ability could be useful at times.

After Oolong boarded the ship, John Doe offered him a piece of candy that he had bought in West City before their journey.

Bulma recognized it as the prank candy John Doe had purchased at the store.

John Doe smiled and gave Bulma a knowing look, indicating that she should wait and watch the show.

Bulma checked the Dragon Ball radar and saw that the next Dragon Ball was located in a desert, near a place called Fire Mountain.

"Fire Mountain!" Oolong exclaimed in fear when he heard they were going to Fire Mountain. "Do you know whose territory that is? You want to go there to get the Dragon Ball?"

Seeing Oolong's terrified expression, Bulma curiously asked, "Is Fire Mountain very dangerous?"

Oolong, with a look of horror, replied, "It's said that a man named King Ox lives in Fire Mountain. He has seized many treasures and keeps them in his castle."

"Many people have tried to steal his treasures, but they all died at his hands. No one has survived."

"Now you're telling me we're going to King Ox's place for the Dragon Ball. Do you think that's possible? I haven't lived enough yet. I'm not going with you," Oolong said. He transformed into a fish and jumped into the lake from the ship.

"He's running away!" Son Goku exclaimed. He quickly took off his clothes and jumped into the lake to catch Oolong.

But Oolong, now a small fish, hid among the water plants, and Son Goku couldn't find him. After searching for a few minutes, Son Goku had to come out of the water.

"I can't find him. It seems he got away this time," Son Goku said.

Son Goku's words reached Oolong's ears, and he couldn't help but laugh at his successful escape.

At this point, Bulma understood why John Doe had given Oolong the prank candy. She smiled at John Doe and asked, "John, do you want to do the honors, or should I?"

John Doe gestured with his hand, saying, "After you."

Bulma began to shout, "PiPi, PiPi..."

As her voice reached Oolong's ears in the water, his stomach started churning. He immediately swam to the surface, transformed back into his original form, and rushed to the bushes to relieve himself.

After a few seconds, he emerged from the bushes.

Oolong looked at the man and woman before him and felt utterly unlucky to have encountered these two troublemakers.

Son Goku found Oolong's reaction amusing and joined Bulma, shouting, "PiPi, PiPi..."

Oolong, who had just relieved himself, felt his stomach churning again. He rushed back to the bushes to relieve himself once more.

When Oolong emerged from the bushes again, he saw that John Doe was about to start shouting. Oolong quickly stopped him, saying, "No, no, I won't run away. Please don't shout."

Seeing Oolong surrender, John Doe said, "I hope you keep your promise and don't play any tricks. Otherwise, don't blame us."

Oolong nodded repeatedly, saying, "I promise! I promise!" But in his mind, he was already plotting revenge against these three tormentors.
