Chapter 7: Goku Advances

Goku's naive behavior left Krillin and Yamcha covering their faces in dismay. Goku was indeed too innocent.

Fortunately, the attack didn't faze Goku, who finally shook off his sleepiness. He stood up, brushed off the dust, and said to Jilang, "Now it's my turn to attack."

Jilang was well aware of the power of his previous punch. He expected that without any defense, his opponent would be severely injured or knocked out.

But this kid was terrifying; he showed no signs of injury.

Goku didn't give Jilang much time to think. He charged forward, and due to his short stature, each punch targeted Jilang's lower body.

The attacks were fierce and powerful, and although Jilang tried to match Goku's speed, his inferior skills left him vulnerable. Goku seized the momentary opening and punched Jilang in the abdomen.

The powerful impact left Jilang temporarily incapacitated, and he crouched down, holding his abdomen. Goku circled behind him, grabbed his tail, and lifted him into the air. After spinning him a few times, Goku threw him towards the sky.

Goku intended to eliminate his opponent this way, but he forgot that Jilang had wings. Jilang recovered, flapped his wings, and slowly flew back onto the ring.

The intense and exciting battle captivated the crowd, who cheered loudly.

Jilang faced the short opponent before him and decided to use his ultimate move—the Magic Gum.

Just as Goku was about to defeat his opponent, Jilang spat out a light blue liquid.

The liquid flew towards Goku, circled him a few times, and then solidified, trapping Goku within a circle.

Seeing his ultimate move ensnare Goku, Jilang burst into laughter, "You little shorty, you lose! Hahaha..."

After saying this, Jilang, perhaps wanting to end it quickly, lifted the trapped Goku and threw him into the air.

"Hahaha..." Jilang watched as he threw his opponent, laughing, "I win! He doesn't have wings. Even if he breaks free from my ultimate move in the air, he won't be able to return to the ring."

Just as everyone thought Goku was about to be eliminated, he shouted in the air, "Kinto-un!"

A yellow cloud flew from the distant sky, catching Goku before he hit the ground and bringing him back to the ring.

Jilang shouted at the referee, "Referee, he's cheating! He's using a prop!"

The host was caught off guard and had to consult with the other referees. Ultimately, for the sake of viewership, they decided to let it slide, but Goku would not be allowed to use the Kinto-un cloud again.

Jilang was speechless, but the decision had been made. Goku wouldn't be able to use the Kinto-un cloud again, and Jilang could always throw him off the ring again if needed.

The audience cheered for Goku, but regardless of the ruling, Goku remained trapped by Jilang's ultimate move.

Jilang slowly approached Goku, who struggled to break free.

"Give up. Don't struggle. Even if it were us trapped by this move, we couldn't break free," Jilang said, seemingly trying to convince Goku to surrender.

Krillin also shouted from the side, "Come on, Goku!"

After a few minutes of coaxing, Jilang realized that his opponent was determined not to surrender. He decided to finish him off personally.

At that moment, Goku suddenly realized that his tail, which had been broken off, had grown back.

Goku was delighted. With the power of his tail, he exerted all his strength, and the Magic Gum that bound him shattered.

"What?!" Jilang was shocked to see his ultimate move broken, his mouth agape.

Goku ignored him and played with his tail, eventually kicking a nearby decorative wall, shattering it.

Seeing his ultimate move broken and his opponent's strength increased with the regrowth of his tail, Jilang knew he no longer had the advantage.

As Goku's excitement faded, he realized he was still in the match and turned his attention back to Jilang, ready for another round.

But just as Goku prepared to strike, Jilang shouted, "I surrender!"

Goku had to stop his punch mid-air and slam it into the ring, creating a large hole.

Jilang, fearing Goku's punch, immediately shouted, "I surrender! I surrender!" and jumped off the ring.

Thus, the quarter-finals concluded with four contestants advancing to the semi-finals: Cheng Long vs. Krillin, and John Doe vs. Goku.

Due to the damage to the ring, the tournament took a break to allow the staff to make repairs.

The host decided to use this opportunity to interview the three contestants, excluding Cheng Long.

John Doe, Goku, and Krillin stepped onto the ring.

The host held the microphone and introduced them, "Ladies and gentlemen, these three contestants will be participating in the semi-finals. We've noticed something interesting: they are all wearing the same martial arts uniform."

"Could they be from the same dojo? Who is this remarkable master who has trained three disciples, all of whom have reached the semi-finals?"

The host, assuming John Doe was the oldest, held the microphone to his mouth and asked, "Mr. John Doe, are you, Mr. Goku, and Mr. Krillin from the same martial arts school?"

John Doe smiled and replied, "Yes, it's not exactly a martial arts school. To be precise, we have the same master, Master Roshi, also known as Master Wu Tian!"

The host exclaimed in surprise, "Master Wu Tian, the revered Martial Arts God?"

"Yes," John Doe affirmed.

"How many disciples did Master Wu Tian take on, and how many participated in this World Martial Arts Tournament?" the host continued.

"Just the three of us," John Doe answered.

"Wow! Everyone, did you hear that? Master Wu Tian only took on three disciples, and all three have made it to the semi-finals. They've turned our World Martial Arts Tournament into their internal exchange tournament. What incredible strength! No wonder Master Wu Tian is known as the Martial Arts God. He's truly amazing!" The host exclaimed enthusiastically.

Master Roshi, hearing the host's praise, was delighted, his eyes narrowing with joy. He hadn't expected all three of his disciples to reach the semi-finals.
