Chapter 9: Krillin's Elimination

Just as Krillin thought he was about to win, he heard a voice from the distance shouting, "Kamehameha!"

A blinding energy wave was launched from Master Roshi's hand. Using the recoil from the energy wave, Master Roshi managed to return to the ring after being on the verge of elimination.

Krillin's excitement turned to bitterness. He was so close to winning, but why did his opponent use his teacher's ultimate move, the Kamehameha?

John Doe had only given Krillin three pieces of advice before the match, and now Krillin was unsure what to do. He turned his gaze towards John Doe.

John Doe sighed, knowing that Krillin was flustered. Although Krillin had no chance of winning, John Doe shouted, "Krillin, focus your mind. Even if you lose, don't leave any regrets. Give it your all."

Hearing John Doe's words, Krillin realized that the gap in strength between him and Cheng Long couldn't be bridged by a few strategies. The outcome of the match would be decided by their respective strengths.

Master Roshi returned to the ring, somewhat pleased, and said to Krillin, "Your progress has exceeded my expectations. You're still young, and you'll have plenty of room for growth in the future."

However, after saying this, Master Roshi lowered his body and assumed an attacking posture. "But it ends here today. As a sign of respect, I'll use my full strength to send you off the ring."

Hearing Master Roshi's words, Krillin was filled with bitterness. He had come so far and wanted to reach the finals to face John Doe or Goku.

"Prepare yourself!" Master Roshi said. He quickly moved, leaving an afterimage in his original position. Krillin was startled and instinctively dodged by lunging forward, avoiding Master Roshi's attack from behind.

But that was all Krillin could manage. Master Roshi seized the opportunity, elbowing Krillin in the neck with tremendous force, knocking him unconscious on the ring.

Master Roshi turned to the referee and said, "Start the countdown!" Without looking back, he left the ring and returned to the venue's hall.

As expected, Krillin didn't regain consciousness after the ten-second countdown, and he was eliminated. Master Roshi advanced to the finals, awaiting his opponent.

Without any pause or rest, the staff quickly cleaned the ring, and John Doe and Goku stepped onto it.

Compared to John Doe's calmness, Goku was much more excited. He had been eagerly anticipating this battle with John Doe for a long time. For Goku, winning or losing wasn't important; the fight itself was what mattered.

The gong sounded, and the host shouted, "Begin!"

John Doe and Goku immediately assumed fighting stances. Goku took the initiative, his arms moving like afterimages as he attacked John Doe.

John Doe retaliated, and the two began exchanging blows on the ring. John Doe's strength slightly surpassed Goku's, and he swept Goku off the ring with a whip-like kick.

However, Goku had raised his arms to block John Doe's attack, minimizing the damage.

The first round ended, and the intense battle left the spectators enthralled. Although they couldn't see every move clearly, they understood that the two contestants were incredibly skilled.

Krillin, Yamcha, and Master Roshi, who were watching from the sidelines, were amazed, especially Master Roshi. He thought that he himself could only reach their level.

Goku realized that he was slightly weaker than John Doe in terms of strength, so he decided to rely on technique to win.

Goku smiled at John Doe and moved swiftly, creating numerous afterimages that surrounded John Doe in the center of the ring.

John Doe carefully observed the afterimages, knowing that one of them was real. It was crucial not to assume they were all fake, as the real one could suddenly appear and attack.

At that moment, in John Doe's blind spot, Goku flew sideways and kicked towards him. However, to Goku's surprise, he passed right through John Doe's body. It turned out that the real John Doe had created an afterimage, using the Afterimage Technique.

Goku hadn't expected this outcome. The real John Doe emerged from the other side and kicked Goku high into the air, followed by a flying kick that sent Goku out of the ring.

The surrounding crowd cheered and applauded, celebrating John Doe's impending victory.

John Doe also felt he was close to winning and raised his hands high in response to the audience.

But Goku wasn't so easily defeated. He had his tail, which he could use like a helicopter rotor to fly back onto the ring.

John Doe was speechless, realizing that he had forgotten the details of his past life in the Dragon Ball world.

Goku returned to the ring and took a deep breath, knowing he had almost been eliminated.

After two rounds of combat, Goku understood that he was slightly weaker than John Doe. In their exchanges, he hadn't gained any advantage.

So, Goku decided to use his ultimate move. He told John Doe, "John Doe, I'm going to use Grandpa's ultimate move. I wonder if you know it."

Goku brought his hands together in a flower-bud shape and placed them at his waist. The spectators were stunned, recognizing Goku's stance and the move he was about to use.

John Doe also knew what was coming. He countered with the Kamehameha pose, and both of them shouted, "Kame...ha...me...ha!"

Two powerful energy waves gathered in their hands, emitting a dazzling white light. They pushed forward with all their might, and the energy waves collided in the center of the ring, merging into a massive energy ball that radiated intense white light.

Eventually, both of them ran out of energy, and the energy ball exploded in the middle, sending a powerful shockwave in all directions. Goku and John Doe, directly facing the shockwave, were knocked back and fell onto the ring.

"Haha!" Goku and John Doe laughed simultaneously and resumed their battle, holding nothing back.

As time passed, the potential of the two Saiyans was fully unleashed. "Bang!" John Doe and Goku clashed in mid-air, with John Doe punching Goku and Goku kicking back. In the end, both of them fell heavily onto the ring.
