Chapter 14: Pirate Treasure I

Master Roshi lifted his sunglasses and gazed into the sky, recalling the time he climbed Karin Tower to compete with Korin for the "Super Holy Water." It was this three-year training on Karin Tower that earned him the title of Martial Arts God.

"Why do you think I know the location of Karin Tower?" Master Roshi asked curiously.

John Doe smiled and said, "Master Wu Tian, you're the Martial Arts God. If you don't know where Karin Tower is, who else would I ask?"

Master Roshi said, "Karin Tower... I do know its location. It's in the Holy Land of Karin. You just need to fly north until you see a tall white tower."

"Thank you, Master Wu Tian. I'll be on my way," John Doe said, and he boarded the plane and flew north.

Watching John Doe fly away in the plane, Master Roshi fell into deep thought.

At that moment, Krillin asked, "Master Wu Tian, what is Karin Tower that John Doe mentioned?"

Master Roshi then explained to Krillin about his connection to Karin Tower. When Krillin heard that Master Roshi had trained on Karin Tower for three years to obtain the "Super Holy Water," he was astonished.

Meanwhile, John Doe, who had been flying north, didn't go far before landing on a nearby island.

His primary purpose for coming here was to find the location of Karin Tower, but his secondary goal was to locate the pirate treasure near Kame House.

Over the past year, John Doe had realized that he needed money to survive in the Dragon Ball World. He lacked something crucial: money.

With his current appetite, he couldn't rely on his family's wealth to sustain him. He didn't want to burden his family financially.

John Doe envisioned a future with Android 18, but neither of them had money. He knew that most of his time would be spent on training, and he didn't want to ask Android 18 to work to support them. He couldn't bear the thought of relying on her financially.

Similarly, their pride wouldn't allow them to borrow money from Bulma, even though she wouldn't mind.

After the banquet following the Martial Arts Tournament, John Doe had been thinking about how to earn money. He even considered using the Dragon Balls to wish for wealth and become the richest person on Earth.

However, he knew that none of the Earth's Z Warriors would wish for money, and he didn't want to be ridiculed by his companions for the rest of his life.

So, John Doe eventually abandoned the idea of using the Dragon Balls to gain wealth. But how could he acquire enough money?

Finally, when Goku bid farewell to everyone and set out to search for the Dragon Balls, John Doe remembered something. Goku, Bulma, and Krillin had discovered a massive pirate treasure in the deep sea near Kame House while searching for the Dragon Balls.

John Doe vividly remembered the scene from the TV when the stone covering the treasure exploded, revealing countless riches. He had regretted that Goku hadn't been able to obtain that treasure.

If fate had decreed that Goku couldn't acquire the pirate treasure, then John Doe would take it for himself. He could always give some to Goku if he needed it in the future.

John Doe took out the Dragon Radar and began searching for the nearby Dragon Ball. Once he found the underwater Dragon Ball, he would locate the pirate treasure.

"Beep... Beep..." As the Dragon Radar displayed the Dragon Ball's location, John Doe quickly determined its position. He took out a small submarine capsule and threw it into the nearby sea, where it transformed into a small submarine.

John Doe boarded the submarine and began his descent, following the direction indicated by the Dragon Radar.

Kame House was located in a tropical ocean, and the seabed near the island was covered with various types of seaweed. Numerous colorful tropical fish swam happily among the seaweed.

The beautiful underwater scenery captivated John Doe, who had rarely ventured into the ocean since coming to the Dragon Ball World over a year ago.

The Dragon Ball Earth was very different from John Doe's original world. The human population was much smaller, and most people lived in a few large cities.

Although there were small towns and settlements in the wilderness, most areas were uninhabited, and the environment was well-preserved. The ocean was also pristine, with clear and unpolluted waters.

John Doe continued to pilot the submarine deeper into the ocean. As the depth increased, the number of marine creatures decreased, and the surroundings gradually darkened. John Doe turned on the searchlight and accelerated towards the Dragon Ball's location.

After about ten minutes, John Doe reached the Dragon Ball's location. He adjusted the Dragon Radar's display to show a cross-section of the seabed.

Indeed, a large underwater cave appeared near the Dragon Ball's location. John Doe continued piloting the submarine towards the cave entrance.

As he navigated around the dark underwater cliffs, the submarine emerged from the sea and flew into the air. It was clear that the cave's interior was above sea level.

John Doe jumped into the sea and pressed a button on the submarine, transforming it back into a capsule and placing it in a capsule box.

He began walking towards the depths of the cave. After a short distance, he noticed that the long cave ceiling was adorned with numerous hanging lamps.

Seeing these lights, John Doe confirmed that he had found the right place. The cave's interior must be where the pirate treasure was hidden.

As he continued forward, John Doe reached a square-shaped long corridor.

He thought for a moment, recalling that this was a trap set by the pirates. Anyone who stepped on the ground would trigger a mechanism, causing arrows to shoot out from the walls and kill the intruders.

John Doe gently pressed a mechanism on the ground, and a small hole in the wall quickly shot out a sharp arrow, embedding itself deeply into the opposite wall.

"I remember that Goku and the others simply jumped over this trap," John Doe recalled.
