Chapter 23: Exchanging Senzu Beans

Upon hearing John Doe's shopping list, Bulma lost interest and instructed the company to assign someone to accompany John and procure the items, storing them in capsules with refrigeration capabilities.

After receiving the capsule box, John bid farewell to Bulma and flew back to Karin Tower.

The Cat Sage's eyes lit up with anticipation when he saw John return. "Did you get everything? Where is it?" he asked eagerly.

John smiled at the Cat Sage's reaction and said, "I got everything, and it's all in this capsule box."

The Cat Sage took the box from John, intrigued by the concept of capsules. "This is amazing! Such a small object can hold so many things."

John opened the capsules one by one, showing the Cat Sage the items he had requested, as well as the additional household items he had purchased to improve the Cat Sage's living conditions.

The Cat Sage was delighted with the transformation of his home and nodded in approval. He then retrieved the jar containing the Senzu Beans and asked John, "What do you want to use to store the Senzu Beans?"

John produced a small storage box using his capsules.

The Cat Sage didn't bother weighing the beans and generously poured more than half of them into John's storage box.

The Cat Sage spoke with meaning, "Make good use of the Senzu Beans. They're not just for filling your stomach."

John was thrilled and thanked the Cat Sage, assuring him that he would use the Senzu Beans wisely.

The Cat Sage nodded in satisfaction, pleased that John understood the value of the beans.

With the transaction complete, John bid farewell to the Cat Sage and returned to West City.

However, when it came time to hide the Senzu Beans, John hesitated. He recalled that the Earth might be destroyed in the future, and he wondered where he should hide them.

In the end, John decided not to hide them for now. Instead, he planned to use the Senzu Beans and the Saiyan ability to increase strength after near-death experiences to aid his training.

If his strength became powerful enough, he wouldn't need the Senzu Beans.

John returned to Bulma's house, where the gravity control room was still under construction. It was clear that the younger Bulma wasn't as skilled as her future self.

As John idled around Bulma's house all day, Bulma's patience wore thin. "You said it would take four to five months to build the machine! Are you bored? Go bang your head against a wall if you have nothing better to do!" she yelled.

Startled by Bulma's outburst, John didn't dare speak and quietly left her lab.

With no other choice, John decided to continue his training on his own.

One day, while practicing in Bulma's garden, John discovered a problem.

Since drinking the 'Super Divine Water,' his strength had increased significantly, but this also led to an issue. His ki had become extremely volatile, and while it was fine when he unleashed it fully, it was too wild for precise movements.

When using the 'Afterimage Fist,' the wild ki made it difficult for John to calm his mind.

So, before the gravity control room was completed, John needed to balance his body and ki.

He sat on the roof of Bulma's house, meditating to calm the raging ki within him.

Time passed slowly, and one day, a voice called out at Bulma's door, "Bulma!"

John opened his eyes and saw Goku had arrived. He realized that the story had reached this point, and Goku would soon face the world's top assassin, Tao Pai Pai.

However, John had changed the plot, and Bora, Upa's father, should no longer be killed.

John jumped down from the roof and greeted Goku, "Hey, Goku."

Goku was delighted to see John and asked, "John, I didn't expect to find you at Bulma's house!"

John explained, "Don't you remember? My house is also in West City. It's just too small for training, so I asked Bulma to make a training machine for me."

"Oh, right. Weren't you searching for the four-star Dragon Ball? Why are you here?"

"Oh, it's like this. My Dragon Radar broke, and I wanted Bulma to fix it. Is she in the lab?" Goku held up his broken Dragon Radar.

"Bulma is in the lab. I'll take you there," John said.

After greeting the police officer who had brought Goku, John invited him inside.

The officer hesitated, "Um, my motorcycle has been running slowly lately. Could Dr. Briefs take a look at it?"

"Oh, sure, no problem. Come in," John said.

The three of them walked towards Bulma's house, and Goku marveled at its size.

As they approached, Bulma and Dr. Briefs came out to greet them. Dr. Briefs immediately recognized the police officer and mistook him for Goku. "Ah, so you're Goku! I didn't expect you to be so big. Bulma told me you were younger."

Embarrassed, the officer clarified, "Sorry, Dr. Briefs, I'm not the Goku you're looking for."

At that moment, Goku spoke up, "Uncle, I'm Goku!"

"Oh, so you're Goku! You're so small," Dr. Briefs said, unbothered by the mistake. He warmly shook Goku's hand.

Goku smiled and laughed, and Dr. Briefs stayed to help the officer with his motorcycle while Goku and John headed to Bulma's lab.

As Bulma examined Goku's broken Dragon Radar, John took out his own Dragon Radar and said, "By the way, I have a working Dragon Radar. You can use it for now. The three-star Dragon Ball is in the ocean, and I've given it to Master Roshi for safekeeping. If you need it, you can get it from Kame House."

Goku opened the Dragon Radar and finally saw the location of the Dragon Balls. "Oh, if it's the three-star Dragon Ball, I won't bother getting it. I don't have any wishes to make. I just want to find the four-star Dragon Ball that my grandpa left for me."
