Chapter 29: Defeating Two More Opponents II

The mummy warrior, possibly due to the shock of the bandages breaking or his own weakness, took a few steps back and sat down on the ground.

"Impossible! How could you break my bandages?!" the mummy warrior exclaimed in disbelief.

"Nothing is impossible," John said. "You're just too weak to imagine it."

"You're so weak," John continued. "I think it's time to switch opponents. Will you concede, or should I eliminate you?"

"Damn you, I won't give up so easily!" The mummy warrior furiously lunged at John with punches.

"Stubborn fool!" John dodged with a swift movement, disappearing from everyone's sight. When they saw John again, he had struck the mummy warrior's abdomen with an elbow.

The powerful blow knocked out the strong mummy warrior.

John lifted the warrior and asked Fortuneteller Baba, "Is this enough? I won."

Fortuneteller Baba acknowledged his victory and said, "Then let's prepare for the next battle. I hope you can continue to impress me."

John smiled and said, "I hope I won't disappoint you." With a backhand, he tossed the mummy warrior back into the demon's entrance.

Fortuneteller Baba shouted, "Come out, Demon Warrior, and show them your strength!"

Soon, a demon with bat-like wings, two horns on his head, and a pointed tail emerged from the demon's mouth.

The demon warrior boasted, "Kid, I'm impressed that you defeated the Mummy Man. But it ends here. Your winning streak will end with me."

John didn't respond to his opponent's words. Instead, he turned to Fortuneteller Baba and said, "Grandma, your warriors are not only weak but also full of big talk."

Fortuneteller Baba smiled mysteriously and said, "You'll see if it's just talk. But I must remind you that my Demon Warrior has never failed since he started guarding this place. I hope you can give him his first taste of defeat."

"Well, it seems I've overestimated both your warriors and your opponents," John said.

"Today, I'll show you that there are more experts in this world than you can imagine," John said. He assumed a fighting stance, ready to take the initiative. He was growing tired of bullying these weak opponents.

The Demon Warrior, aware of John's strength, quickly assumed a defensive stance. But before he could react, John vanished from his sight.

The Demon Warrior felt a pain in his stomach and realized that the kid had struck him. The pain was so intense that he vomited bile and nearly spewed out his gallbladder.

"You can't even withstand one of my attacks," John said calmly. He followed up with an uppercut to the Demon Warrior's chin, knocking him to the ground.

John turned to Fortuneteller Baba and said, "Bring out the fifth warrior. This one is not up to the task."

As Fortuneteller Baba was about to concede and summon the fifth warrior, the Demon Warrior wiped the blood from his mouth and said, "No need. I still have one ultimate move left."

Fortuneteller Baba was taken aback, then seemed to remember something. "No, you can't use that move. We had an agreement about it."

"Agreement? Sorry, but I'm not following that agreement today. I won't allow such an insult to go unpunished," the Demon Warrior said. He flew into the air.

"You can't use that move here. You can't kill on my territory," Fortuneteller Baba warned.

"Shut up, or I'll kill you too!" the Demon Warrior shouted at Fortuneteller Baba.

"Damn you, you bastard!" Fortuneteller Baba cursed.

Ignoring her protests, the Demon Warrior flew higher into the air. He knew John was fast, but he didn't think John could fly, so he prepared to use his ultimate move in the air.

The Demon Warrior taunted John, "You think you're so strong? Can you withstand my ultimate move?"

John knew what the Demon Warrior's ultimate move was, but he smiled and said, "Why not? Go ahead."

"Yes!" The Demon Warrior was delighted. He extended two fingers from each hand and pointed them at his temples. He began to gather energy, and two purple light spheres formed at his fingertips. Then, with a loud shout, he aimed his fingers at John and unleashed the "Demon Ray."

The purple light beams shot from his fingertips and wrapped around John's body.

The Demon Warrior, seeing his Demon Ray hit John, laughed maniacally. He explained, "Everyone has a dark side—gossiping, peeping, lust, and more. While these small issues may not be a big deal in daily life, when hit by my Demon Ray, they magnify the evil thoughts within. Eventually, the body swells and bursts due to the expansion of evil thoughts."

"So, kid, die!"

But the Demon Warrior's laughter quickly turned into screams. "Impossible! How can you show no reaction after being hit by my Demon Ray?"

John then channeled his ki, compressing the Demon Ray that had enveloped his body. He formed a purple energy ball in his hand.

Turning to the Demon Warrior flying in the air, John smiled and said, "What if you were hit by your own Demon Ray? Would your evil thoughts also magnify?"

"What?!" The Demon Warrior was taken aback, not understanding John's words.

But soon, he realized what John meant. John waved his hand, and the purple energy ball in his palm flew towards the Demon Warrior. Before he could dodge, he was hit by his own Demon Ray.

The Demon Warrior felt his evil thoughts expanding and magnifying within him. His heart ached as it was forced to expand, and he finally understood the pain of those he had struck with his Demon Ray in the past.

In the end, the Demon Warrior screamed, "Nooooo!" His body swelled and burst, turning into a purple cloud of smoke that slowly dissipated into the air.
