Chapter 30: The Fifth Warrior

Everyone present was shocked by the scene before them. They were amazed by the deadly power of the Demon Ray but even more astonished by John's strength. They wondered if they could have survived the Demon Ray.

It was clear that they couldn't, and they had no idea how John had withstood the Demon Ray and reflected it back.

John asked Fortuneteller Baba, who was still standing on her crystal ball, "Grandma, will there be any consequences for you now that the Demon Warrior is dead?"

"Oh, no. It's fine. After all, he broke our agreement first," Fortuneteller Baba replied after a moment of surprise, still amazed by John's strength.

"Then let's proceed with the fifth battle!" John said.

"Alright, but be careful. My fifth warrior is a true martial artist, not like the previous ones who relied on unorthodox methods," Fortuneteller Baba warned John before calling out the fifth warrior.

John knew who the fifth warrior was and said, "I believe you, Grandma, but now I'm even more excited for the upcoming battle."

Upon hearing John's words, Fortuneteller Baba immediately called out to the last warrior in the demon statue, "Come out!"

Unlike before, when she had introduced each warrior by name, this time, she simply waited for the warrior to appear.

There was no grand entrance or words; a masked old man quietly walked out from the demon's mouth, his hands behind his back.

After seeing the Mummy Man and Demon Warrior, everyone had expected the final guardian to be even more formidable, but he turned out to be an old man who didn't even show his face.

John assumed a fighting stance and said, "You're the last guardian. I hope you can last a little longer against me."

At that moment, Son Gohan spoke up, "No need, young man. You're strong, and I'm not your match. I concede."

Everyone was startled, and Fortuneteller Baba almost fell off her crystal ball in shock.

"But even though I concede, can I have a match with that kid over there?" Son Gohan pointed at Goku, who was watching from the sidelines.

Goku, confused by the request, asked, "You want to fight me?"

"Yes, is that okay?" Son Gohan asked again.

Goku, already excited by watching John's battles, readily agreed, "Of course, I'll fight you." He was about to jump down from the viewing platform into the arena.

Son Gohan stopped him, "Wait, let's change the battleground."

Son Gohan turned to Fortuneteller Baba and asked, "Can we move the fight to the outside arena? This place is too small for us to fully demonstrate our strength."

Fortuneteller Baba had no objections, and since Son Gohan had already conceded, the upcoming fight was more of a personal duel between them, unrelated to her.

So, everyone returned to the circular arena outside, but this time, the fighter was not John; it was Goku's first appearance.

Krillin and Yamcha watched the arena intently, curious to see if Goku, who had climbed Karin Tower and drunk the Super Divine Water, was as strong as John.

Knowing that this fight was a grandfather-grandson sparring session, John didn't interfere and casually joined the others as a spectator.

"John, what do you think of Goku's strength now?" Krillin asked.

John thought for a moment and replied, "I'd say he's about as strong as me."

"What?!" Krillin and Yamcha were shocked by John's assessment. They had overestimated Goku's strength, but they didn't expect John to rate him so highly.

The fight on the arena began, and neither fighter went all out. Goku may have only displayed three or four-tenths of his strength.

The spectators who understood martial arts could tell that the fighters were testing each other, but they couldn't gauge how much power each was using.

What they didn't know was that Son Gohan had been gradually increasing his speed and strength, reaching the ninth level. However, he was surprised to see his grandson calmly countering his attacks.

He couldn't believe that in just a few years, his grandson's strength had grown to such an extent.

After another exchange, Son Gohan decided to use his ultimate move, the Kamehameha.

Goku was surprised that his opponent knew the Kamehameha, but he quickly composed himself. After all, he had learned it from Master Roshi, and it seemed like a technique that was easy to pick up.

As Son Gohan prepared to unleash the Kamehameha, Goku didn't dodge. Instead, he slightly spread his legs and crossed his arms in front of his chest.

Everyone except John was stunned by Goku's action, including Son Gohan, who was about to launch the Kamehameha.

But Son Gohan did release the Kamehameha, and a powerful energy wave struck Goku.

Krillin, Yamcha, Bulma, and Pu'er screamed in shock, unable to imagine Goku being knocked down by the Kamehameha.

However, to their surprise, Goku blocked the Kamehameha with his crossed arms, stopping it in its tracks. The continuous energy wave only pushed Goku back by a meter or so.

"Impossible!" Most of the onlookers exclaimed in shock, including Son Gohan, who had launched the Kamehameha.

Goku released his slightly scratched arms and said, "Your turn is over. Now it's my turn."

Goku formed a flower-like shape with his hands and shouted, "Kamehameha!" Demonstrating his immense strength, a massive energy wave erupted from Goku's hands, striking Son Gohan.

Facing such a powerful energy wave, Son Gohan had no choice but to jump upwards.

But as he jumped, Goku quickly moved behind him and, with a powerful overhead strike, knocked Son Gohan down to the arena.
