Chapter 33: Back to Kame House

The plane flew swiftly, and in less than two hours, John landed in front of Kame House with Bulma.

Kame House was no longer located on the small island where John had trained before. Instead, it was on a larger island nearby, just as he had learned.

When John and Bulma entered Kame House, they found only Blue-haired Launch, Oolong, and Pu'er inside. Master Roshi, Yamcha, and Krillin were not in the house, presumably training outside.

Upon seeing John and Bulma, Blue-haired Launch, who was preparing lunch for everyone, greeted them.

"Launch, I need more food today. You know me; a little bit of food is never enough for me," John said.

"Sure, John," Launch replied happily. Blue-haired Launch was always delighted when people enjoyed the food she prepared.

Soon, Launch left Kame House to buy more ingredients to prepare a grand feast.

As it was almost noon, John didn't go out to look for Master Roshi and the others. The island was quite large, and he wasn't sure where they were training.

Finally, around 12:30 p.m., a tired Krillin and Yamcha returned to Kame House.

"Hey, Krillin, Yamcha!" John greeted them as they took off their shoes.

Krillin and Yamcha were delighted to see John and immediately hugged him.

John carefully examined Krillin and teased him, "Krillin, have you been slacking off these past few years? Your height has barely grown. Is Master Roshi not feeding you enough?"

Krillin, who had been happy to see John, was now deflated by his comment. "You're really rubbing salt in the wound. Do you have to bring that up?"

"Haha..." Everyone laughed at Krillin's reaction.

Soon after, Master Roshi returned, and everyone greeted him. They then sat down to enjoy the delicious meal prepared by Blue-haired Launch.

John asked Krillin and Yamcha about their training.

Krillin replied, "Our morning training hasn't changed. We still deliver milk, plow fields, and work at construction sites. However, the weight we carry on our backs is much heavier now. We're currently carrying 80-kilogram turtle shells."

"In the afternoon, Yamcha and I train in the gravity chamber."

Krillin was curious about John and asked, "Bulma mentioned that you came up with the idea for the gravity training chamber. Since you're using it too, how many times Earth's gravity can you handle now?"

There was no need to hide this information, so John replied, "I can now move freely in the ten times Earth's gravity chamber. How about you?"

"Ten times?!?" Krillin and Yamcha were shocked to hear this. After a moment, they glanced at each other, and Krillin forced a smile, "We're not far behind you. We need to keep working hard!"

In reality, they were far behind. They had only recently become comfortable in the three times Earth's gravity chamber and struggled to move in the four times Earth's gravity chamber, quickly exhausting their energy.

So, when they learned that John could move freely in the ten times Earth's gravity chamber, they were astonished.

However, feeling that their strength was far inferior to John's, they didn't want to reveal their current gravity level.

After realizing the gap in strength between themselves and John, Krillin and Yamcha decided to turn their frustration into motivation. They quickly finished their meal and headed to the gravity chamber to train, determined to adapt to four times Earth's gravity.

Master Roshi was well aware of their training progress. He had secretly tried the gravity chamber himself and found that with his current strength, he could barely manage in the three times Earth's gravity chamber. Four times Earth's gravity was out of the question.

It was clear that his disciples' strength had surpassed his own, and he had been contemplating whether to participate in the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament. But after learning of John's strength, he made up his mind not to compete.

He didn't want to embarrass himself by losing to his own disciples. It was better to leave his impressive image from the previous tournament intact.

"I'm done eating. I'm going to train," Krillin said, putting down his bowl and chopsticks.

"I'm done too. I'm going to train as well," Yamcha added.

Initially, they had thought their strength was already impressive, but after learning of John's capabilities, they knew they needed to work even harder.

Master Roshi spoke to them, "Be careful. Sometimes, people's natural talents can vary greatly. Just take it one step at a time and keep moving forward."

"Don't push yourself too hard in pursuit of strength, to the point of causing irreversible damage to your body."

"Yes, Master!" Krillin and Yamcha, who had been in a hurry to train, paused and slowly walked out, no longer in a rush.

This was the role of a good teacher—to offer guidance at critical moments and prevent students from making mistakes.

After Krillin and Yamcha left, Master Roshi looked at John, who was still eating heartily, and asked with some disdain, "John, do you have something to do here, or did you just come to gorge yourself at my place?"

"Hehe, Master, I haven't seen you in two years, and I missed you. So, I've decided to stay here for the next six months and take care of you," John said.

"What? Stay here for a year? Are you trying to bankrupt me with your eating?!" Master Roshi immediately objected.

A meal or two was fine, but staying for a year and eating like this would surely bankrupt him.

John was well aware of his appetite, so he took out a bank card he had prepared and handed it to Master Roshi. "Master, don't worry. I have money. From now on, I'll cover all the food expenses at Kame House for the next year."

Master Roshi's eyes lit up when he heard John's offer. He had initially seemed unhappy, but now he was delighted. "Come on, it's not like I'm stingy. You can stay as long as you want. Money is not an issue."

However, while Master Roshi said this, he quickly took the bank card from John's hand.
