"Wake up child."
An ethereal humanoid being sat with another on it's lap. The being moved it's hand throught the others hair as if to comfort them.
-Star child
Opening my eyes I could see such a beautiful woman caring for me. Her soft fingers rubbing through my hair, I've never felt such warmth before... such love. Who is she, where am I.
"It's time to wake up, we've more things to do today." She said carresing my cheak. "Child..., why do you cry."
(Crying?? I'm not...) I rubbed my cheak, wiping away a tear that still seemed to be streaming from my eyes.
"I.... don't know mother." Mother?? Yeah... that's right we went on a picnic, I got tired from the food and decided to take a nap. She must've rested my head on her lap.
As I began to get up I felt slightly dizzy and out of sync, but it only lasted a moment. Must've been really tired. I stretched a bit trying to wake myself fully, then looked to my mother who was already packing everything up. I walked over to help, picking up some of the garbage and putting them into the bins.
After, we walked through the beautiful field, I picked one of the flowers and handed it to her. We talked as we walked the path leading toward the house. Today is my eighteenth birthday and father is supposed to be meeting us later, once he's finished his business with some of the angels.
Father is the leader of our race, and conducts meetings personally to show respect as well as to ensure the others know we're not afraid. Today he meets with the angels, yesterday he met with the demons and so on, the meetings are held to ensure war doesn't break out between us. He's the one that keeps everyone calm and friendly, seeing as he is the strongest being in existence, but also the nicest. But that doesn't mean he's afraid to show his strength, on the contrary he can also be the most ruthless.
He's been training me since I was thirteen and man do I hate it, I mean jeez take it easy I'm still a kid. But I get it the head has to keep their family strong so they won't be used against them, unlucky right. Bet you won't guess who his second in command is, as well as the second strongest.
Yep you guessed it my lovely "harmless" mother, hell the real reason I fell asleep was because I was too sore to sleep last night from the beating she gave me during training. Claiming "This hurts me then it hurts you." Then stop PLEASE. She literally canceled my natural healing, so my body could adapt or whatever.
Anyway we're meeting him at the annual fair, all of the races get together to celebrate the years of peace. This year it's being hosted by the angels in the "Great Garden" in "Kaden".
---
"For a long time our races have been at peace and this year is no different, thanks to the contributions of all our warriors and leaders. I thank you all for your hard work and to the people, thnak you for putting your faith in us your leaders, we will continue to do our best to keep you all safe and prosperous. TO A BETTER FUTURE and with that being said LET THE ANNUAL FESTIVITIES BEGIN!!"
The croud erupted in cheers and the leaders behind my father clapped and nodded in approval behind him. Mother and I pushed through the croud to meet my father as he came down from the stage, we greeted him with warm smile and complimented him on his speech. Of course I'm more excited to try some of the rides and food, but this was just as important to him as it was for everyone here.
"Great speech there dad, almost shed a tear. TO A BETTER FUTURE."
I said with a smile on my face as I nudged him slightly.
"Ha ha very funny, might need to up the training so my smart ass son can keep that promise." He looked at me with a bright smile and patted my back a little too hard.
"Happy birthday Sirius, sorry I we couldn't celebrate sooner. My baby boy's finally a man." A soft warm smile appeared on his face, his eyes started to water a little. He looked at me with joyful eyes with a hint of sadness and pain, his son was soon no longer going to be under him every waking moment.
It was a happy yet sad day for both of my parents they got to see their baby boy grow and get older his soft oblivious smile grow wiser. His shining bright eyes grow a little dim from the reality of life, his soft harmless body and mind, has now hardened into a warrior who would soon take their place, and have a family of his own.
His vigorous training with them reaching it's last few sessions, and the awakening ritual soon at hand, further cementing the grief of their child's last stages before adulthood.
Mother rubbed my father's back slightly, trying to comfort him. I stepped forward and hugged them tight, they embraced me tightly fearing if they let go it would be the last time. After giving it some time I pulled away and gave them a bright smile.
"Alright alright, that's enough let's get on some ride and play some games!.! The person with the most wins by the end of the night gets to decide what we do tomorrow, after training of course. As I said this they wiped their tears and mother gave a bright smile as a fire ignited in her eyes.
"Welp give me some time to think, and I'll let you guys know what we'll be doing tomorrow." Father said with a smug look on his face, he started leading the way toward the first game. Mother gave him a look as he walked past her, she moved her hand slightly which moved his foot slightly causing him to miss his step. He slightly fell forward before he began to float slightly turning to look at her with a smile on his face.
"Oh I'm sorry sweetheart did I say something wrong, does the truth of me winning hurt that bad.?.?" He said chuckling, in return mother flipped him off and made the wind spin around. We all laughed as he regained composure and came back down.

Walking around the concessions two poeple were having a conversation that no one else could hear, and because of how loud everything was and all of the things going on, no one noticed the absence of sound around the two.
One was a young Angel man by the name of Uriel, well young in his case was thousands of years old but you get the picture. He was the cause of the absence of sound , he had created an noticeable field around the two to keep their conversation a secret. Not only was the young angel a strong individual he was also a figure of high status, he and the demon were part of the council who protected the civilizations along side Atlas Starr the strongest of all the races, and Tara Starr his wife.
Beside him was a demon women of the same age watching the crowd and waving at passer byers with a smile on her face, her name was Lilith. Her dark horns and wings were stark contrast to Uriels' white wings and halo, although for now both hid those characteristics. Their rank and status had affects on things like this, if normal beings were to see their wings and horns/halo they would me overwhelmed by their beauty and power.
The two are the strongest of their races, and being as young as they are, they were considered prodigies. Yet being as strong as they are they paled in comparison to Atlas and Tara, and now they feared that if they allowed their son Sirius to awaken he would become even stronger.
"So the kid, you saw him in the crowd didn't you, what do you think of him." Lilith asked as she walked toward him handing him a candied apple as she bit into hers.
"There's no doubt he's strong, thanks. He said grabbing the apple. Although nowhere near as strong as we were at his age, the celestials do have a different way of coming into their strength."
"Ah right, the ritual they seem to take, if I remember correctly. I've never seen it or been around when it's happened." Lilith said waving at a passerby while taking another bite.
"Indeed quiet the spectacle if I do say so, although I wasn't allowed to watch I could feel it when Atlas himself awoken. My, the difference between was so great I hated every bit of it, but what could I do but support my dear friend. The gap between us favored me in our younger days, but of course there was nothing I could do to catch up to him after." Uriel said as he watched Atlas and his family with a smile on his face.
