Family Reunion pt.2

"Well look who it is, long time no see old friend. How've you been?" Frost asked as he walked over going for a hug.

Vash in turn accepted his gesture. "Long time indeed, see you've gotten stronger. You know it's not nice to leave the rest of us behind."

"Don't worry I'm not leaving anyone behind I'm just making sure I've got a way out in case you guys turn on me haha." He laughed saying this as he put his arm around Vash walking with him towards the others.

As they were talking and greeting everyone Soul walked over to Dre and pulled him aside.

"Looks like we've got two new divine users." He said watching the others commerce.

"True, I heard about what happened at your training ground." Dre said smirking.

"WHAT... what did you hear." Soul said clearing his throat.

"Heard miss Sarah over there almost killed you after awakening.., although I could've heard wrong." Dre said patting him on the back.

"Look I was caught off guard, ok. How was I supposed to know she would awaken, let alone jump ranks. Anyway I was holding back, the moment it was getting interesting Jayden pulled me out."

He looked towards her with a smile on his face even though he let his guard down he still won, and even got a nice surprise in the end. Although he did wish he could've fought her for longer that day.

But since then she had been in every practice he had per his request, he thought it best to have her practice more often and coordinate with him at times.

"Anyway that's not what I pulled you over for. The kid, you see it don't you, he's got a link."

Hearing this Dre's ears perked up. He looked over at Kylan his eye's glowing gold as he peered into his soul using his passive skill.

"Indeed that's interesting, and he's divine. I'm sure this is new information for Vash as well other wise we would've known about it sooner. Well, I'll be expecting a lot from him in the future."

Although since he had only just awoken Dre and Soul knew he wouldn't be too much help until he had learned and trained with his new power and abilities in this world.

But they did wonder why he had gotten linked so late in the game and who it was that became his guardian/companion, but more importantly were they strong enough to be useful in the days to come.

They had already heard about Nima (formerly known as Kylan) and his talents but with his new upgrade he could be someone to truly rely on.

It was to be expected seeing as John, his father, had climbed the ranks faster than he did, proving how valuable he'd be in battles.

John himself had joined the group as well, and was keeping an eye on his son. Although he couldn't see what the others saw he knew something was definitely different about him.

"As fun as it is getting fresh air and enjoying the company of old and new friends, we should head inside should we not."

Cass gestured toward the doors which were opened by the other two who would be aiding him in tending to the guests.

Frost smiled and walked ahead of the group, walking up to Soul and Dre he put his arms around them and continued forward.

"That's a great idea, we should get more comfortable."

Cass moved towards the back as they walked inside, he nodded towards the other two and they lead the group. While one stayed in front showing them around the other broke off heading to request refreshments for the group.

Sarah and Jayden stayed at the back of the group, Jayden was updating his information. Sarah was there to keep him company, plus other than Soul, he was really the only one she knew.

Sarah had recently learned about her new abilities, one such being God Eyes. She decided it wouldn't hurt to use it now, learning about her allies and possible enemies is a smart move after all.

"Don't that's not a smart move right now, it's more dangerous in this moment than you realize."

Without looking up from his tablet Jayden stopped her, warning her. Although she listened she couldn't figure out why or how such a simple act could endanger her life.

"You should listen to him you know, some things just aren't ment to be seen, and it's quite rude to peer into the lives of others without permission, especially those you're meant to trust. But... you are new so I'll let it slide Miss Lance."

Startled by the sudden voice in her ear and arm around her shoulder, she looked beside her to find Frost walking with them looking to see what Jayden was working on.

Her heart began to race as she looked back to the front of the group to see he was also still walking with Soul and Dre.

"Neet trick huh. Even on vacation you never cease to stop working huh Jay."

Sarah looked at Jayden with a stunned expression only to see that he was unfazed by his sudden appearance, or the fact that there were two of him.

"Just updating what I have is all, I like to be prepared. That's not a problem, is it."

"Not at all my friend, better safe than sorry. Would you like to know my information."

Frost said smiling, he looked toward Sarah for a second, whom was just listening and tried to avoid eye contact.

"Of course I was going to ask you when we got there, but since you're here now, that saves me the trouble. Thank you."

"Of course, anything to help a fellow researcher."

Jayden handed the tablet over to Frost who inputed his data, interested Sarah watched as they shared information.

"Thanks, oh and correct me if I'm wrong but that new friend of yours won't be showing will he."

Frost noticed everyones ears perked up at this question, and it made him chuckle seeing how nosey they all were. His body dissipated as his duplicate disappeared, leaving only the one walking at the front.

"You are correct as usual Jayden."

They all entered into a room with comfortable furniture and the snack and drinks had already been put out before they arrived, with Caster's assistant already waiting for them.

Every found a comfortable seat and were served snacks and food, Frost himself was placed at the head of the group with his seat being at the end with everyone else placed on either side of him.

"What happened to him, if I might ask?"

Sarah was the one to speak up, she had been listening and paying attention to them the whole time and was interested in their conversations.

"Well to put it simply, after finding him I offered him my help in unsealing his power and keeping it from killing him. Which didn't go as planned, in the end he died from the procedure. On the brightside I got the information we need and his ability is being kept safe."

She understood pretty well and nodded along taking in the information, but she did raise an eyebrow at the last remark.

Usually after death the ability would either disappear or manifest in someone else who was somewhat compatible.So how was it that this ability was being, "kept safe".

Curiosity getting the better of her she was about to ask until something unexpected happened. Looking up Frost was no longer in his seat and was instead standing beside Nima slamming some unknown man who wasn't there before, into the ground.

"How nice of you to join us."
