"Deal?"

Amber-ruby gazed his hand for awhile then looked back at him.

"No. Sir Garyl I know that there's a trick, plus, don't worry for me Ace will get me out from here" she said with confident.

Garyl wasn't annoy that she refused , he expected it.

"Well, it's your choice. Don't forget that you had a chance to see your mother but you refused" after those words he turned, as he was going out he stopped and glanced at Amber-ruby.

"Forget about you going out from here, Ace will do nothing" he said coldly and finally left.

Amber-ruby sat on the floor again and curled herself again .

"I know he will" she mumbled.

Someone's knocked at the Ace's chamber.

"My prince, someone want to see you" a servant said.

"Enter" he ordered.

The servant opened the door and closed it behind. She bowed half way.

"Who's that?" He asked.

"It's Lady Evariste Belvian, your highness" she repeated.

He nodded. The servant bowed again then left.

As he was descending the stairs , his eyes fell on Eva that was waiting for him in the entry.

He reached at her level.

"Ace…. Why? Why have you done it" she asked, her expression deceived and sad.

"Why are you asking it to me now? You can ask this to your new best friend , Garyl" he coldly said.

She opened her mouth, surprised by his words.

"Why do you look so surprise? Isn't he your best friend?" He added

"What are you talking about?"

"You gave the document to him without telling me"

"Ace, it's because…"

"It's your highness for you, stop with the familiarity" he coldly said, he looked at her with disdain.

Eva gulped, the gazed of Ace was oppressive for her. The way he was looking her made her feel bad. For the first time she saw Ace expressing this type of emotion over her.

"I..I can explain Ac… your highness"

"What can you really explain to me ? Eva. You betray me"

"She's an imposter! A traitor! How can you believe her? I did it to protect you!" She raised her voice.

"Me? No I don't think. You did it to protect yourself"

She lowered her head.

"How can you trust her more than me? We know since we were children" she softly said

"Let me clarify something. She's not guilty of anything. I'm the one that planned all these" he clarified

"Why?" She asked with concern.

"I think it's not more important . As you trusted My uncle Garyl more than me , it's the same way that I trust Amber-ruby"

"So that's her name" she said sadly , approaching him.

"That's the name of the girl that's separating you from me. It's not just about trust, Ace, you loved her" she said .

He stood silent looking her with his stoic expression.

"I noticed it during our sojourn in the chalet at Nightinon. Yes, I gave the document to Garyl but it is your fault. If you were trusting me as you did with her, this situation would have never happen" she said

Ace had enough, looking at Eva annoyed him. It was because of her , if he couldn't have the proof , she gave the document to his enemy.

He turned and walked to the direction of the stairs but Eva hugged him from behind stopping him from making further steps. They stood there saying nothing.

"I love you Ace, that's why I did it. I was jealous" she confessed.

"If you really loved me, you wouldn't have done something that could hurt me" he said coldly.

The words of Ace pains her. He was harsh , cold as ever with her.

"You think that she loves you? She doesn't! She will never love you as I do." She added

"Eva…" he called.

She was glad when she heard him calling her by her little name.

'He understands me '

When they were children, he was the one that gave her this little name. At first, Ace was in love with Evariste when they were still children but Evariste wasn't interested.

He always like to disturb her with jokes, kidding and that upset her.

It is was one night when Ace save her from getting rape by men commoners, it's true that those men beat up him correctly but this action made the guards to replicate and arrest them, since that day Eva started get feeling for him.

Unfortunately, Ace had to go at the age of 14 to become a soldier. When he came back , the cheerful boy that always got a smile on his face had disappeared. He became cold, emotionless and distant.

Eva didn't know if he was still in love with her still now.

"Yes Ace" she smiled

"Get out from here"

Her eyes were widely opened, Her heart was broke, the harshness in his voice and the coldness made her body to shivered.

He glanced at her with a deadly look. He removed her hands that was around his belly and climbed the stairs , disappeared from her viewed.

She stood there alone, looking at the empty stairs. She was shocked, sad and even angry.

"Eva! You are here"

The voice brought her back to the reality. She turned to the voice.

"If you're here for Logane she's not here but while waiting I proposed you some tea with me" the queen suggested.

She nodded and forced a smile on her face, she couldn't say no to the queen.

She wasn't in the mood of talking nor everything. She was thinking about Ace, the disdain that he had toward her .

"Eva? Eva? Are you with me?" The queen asked

"Yes yes your majesty" she smiled.

"The situation is worrying. My husband is angry with Ace, for what he did . Bringing an imposter and a stranger herein the castle" she sipped a little of the tea. Her face serious.

"He told you why he did it?" Eva asked

"Yes" she placed the cup of tea on the table.

"He said that, Garyl tried to kill Logane and that he wants to take the crown"

"An do you think it's true, your majesty?"

"No! Why will Garyl do that? He was by the side of his younger brother who is the king since 30years. He's the one that gave advices and guides the king. If he wanted the crown, he would have done seizure of power since" the queen explained.

"Then why has Ace done it?" Eva asked.

"He's bewitched. That girl, bewitched him to take control over the kingdom"

"Bewitched?" Eva wondered.

"Yes, Garyl informed us that she is a friend of a yemetian"

Eva wondered again more.

"The yemetians? The only kingdom that's is capable of using magic and the number one enemy of Irischester. That girl is really a scum person". Said Eva shaking her head.

"What about the people?"

"They are shocked! They done believe that the princess wasn't really the princess. Everyone is talking about it"
