The first step for our love

Charming walked down the stairs. Ella stood before him in a beautiful dress with her hair styled. Charming blushed slightly: "Did Margaret do this?"

Suddenly, the king came to greet them.

King: "You look even more beautiful today." He smiled.

The king watched Charming's every move. Suddenly, Charming wrapped his arm around Ella's waist and kissed her. The king laughed and said: "I'd better not disturb you."

The king went to his room. Charming pushed Ella back.

Charming: "I'm leaving now."

Ella, very excited: "That was our first kiss!"

Margaret: "What?! He kissed you?!"

Ella: "Well, he did it because we were in front of the king." She intertwined her fingers.

Margaret took Ella's hands: "He was surprised to see you, right? Did he like your dress?"

Ella: "Oh, well, he was as cold as always and didn't say anything, but he was a bit surprised."

Margaret: "That was a great start. Let's take it slow and steady." She smiled.

Charming was standing in the library, reading a book.

Ella, curious: "What book are you reading?"

Charming: "It's not something someone like you would find interesting."

Ella, excited: "It's a geography book!"

Charming, surprised: "Huh? How do you know about these things?"

Ella, enthusiastically: "My father was a sailor; he always told me about his journeys."

Charming: "Hmm, you mentioned that."

Ella continued: "When I was a child, we went to the sea together one day. It was really beautiful." She closed her eyes and imagined the sea.

Charming looked at Ella: "You've seen the sea up close?!"

Ella: "We went several times with my father."

Charming: "Strange, you're different from other girls." He laughed.

Ella thought: "He laughed again."

Ella continued: "It seems like you've never seen the sea. Let's go one day together." She smiled.

Charming looked at Ella. Her face shone in the sunlight, more attractive than ever.

Charming: "I've changed my mind; maybe we can get along a bit."

Charming caressed Ella's cheek.

Ella, surprised: "Is something wrong?"

Charming snapped out of it: "Nothing, it's just that you look even more beautiful today." He said and left.

Ella: "It seems like he's becoming a bit interested in me." She smiled and went to read the books in the library.

Margaret: "How did it go?"

Ella: "Thank you, Margaret, but I want to proceed in my own way."

Margaret: "I see, that suits you more." She smiled.

Ella, surprised: "Aren't you upset?"

Margaret, playing with her hair, said: "I tried really hard to get Charming interested in me, but he doesn't even look at me."

Ella: "Sorry, I didn't know that."

Margaret smiled and said: "But it seems like you're more suitable. You're always honest and act as you are. You understand others very well."

Ella felt that Margaret was hiding her sadness.

Ella: "Margaret..."

Margaret: "It seems like you don't need me anymore, so I'll be leaving." She gave a bitter smile and left.

Ella sat on the couch, watching Charming work. He was completely serious. An unusual silence filled the room.

Ella: "Can I ask you a question?"

Charming: "Go ahead."

Ella: "Why are you not interested in getting married?"

Charming thought for a moment and replied: "Because everyone wants to take advantage of my position to gain the throne. They're all two-faced and hide their true feelings to use me." He fell into thought.

Ella: "So that's why you chose me." She felt a bit happy.

Charming: "I had a fight with my father about marriage. I asked my father to throw a party and invite every young lady in town." He sighed and continued: "I wanted to marry an ordinary girl, someone who wanted me for who I am, not because I'm a prince."

Ella: "Did I fulfill your wish?"

Charming looked at Ella: "You're always very kind and considerate. It's easy to talk to you." He laughed.

A week later, as promised by the king, Ella was announced as Prince Charming's wife at a grand party.

"She's so lovely!"

"Prince Charming has strange taste."

"So this girl won the prince's heart."

People talked about Ella in various ways. Some liked her, while others were jealous and spread rumors about her.

The sound of violins filled the air. Everyone started dancing together.

Ella thought: "I practiced a lot this week; I mustn't step on Prince Charming's feet!" She was very focused on doing it right.

Charming took Ella's hand. Ella looked at him anxiously.

Charming: "Is something wrong? You seem very stressed."

Ella took a deep breath and said: "It's nothing, I just got too worried." She smiled.

Charming: "Worried about what?"

Ella: "The first time we danced, I stepped on your feet a lot. I'm really sorry." She felt embarrassed.

Charming: "But this time you practiced, I'm sure you'll do better than that night." He smiled.

Charming's smile gave Ella confidence and made her feel braver about dancing. Charming took Ella's hand and started dancing. Ella's movements were more coordinated, and she didn't step on Charming's feet anymore. Ella felt relieved and continued dancing happily.

Ella thought: "This is great, I managed to keep up!"

Suddenly, Ella stepped on Charming's foot.

Ella, anxious: "Sorry!"

Charming: "You've improved so quickly." He pulled Ella closer and kissed her on the lips.

"Why is the prince kissing his fiancée in front of everyone?"

"Who would have thought Prince Charming, who is so emotionless, would do such a thing?"

Everyone's eyes were on the two of them. People were mesmerized by their dance. Charming came to his senses and saw that Ella was blushing.

Charming: "Sorry, I think I overdid it..."

Ella: "This is our second kiss." She was happy.

Charming: "Oh, if it makes you happy, I'll do it again."

Ella took another step closer to Charming. She was so happy it felt like a dream.
