Chapter 34

Miranda sat in the separate room, accompanied by Abel, who stood watchfully beside her. The door suddenly swung open, and a young lady entered, her presence barely registering with the other maids, who were engrossed in their own conversations.

However, Miranda's curiosity was piqued as she watched the lady scan the room, her eyes searching for something or someone.

As their gazes met, the lady's eyes sparkled with interest, and she began to walk toward Miranda. Abel's eyes narrowed slightly, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword, as he watched the lady approach. Miranda was taken aback by the lady's sudden movement, her surprise evident on her face.

The lady sat down beside Miranda, her eyes scanning the room once more before coming to rest on Miranda's face. For a moment, none of them spoke, the only sound the muted hum of conversation from the other maids.
