THE CONTRACT

This is second

-----

Harry's gaze locked onto the man sitting across from him, his muscles tense, his mind racing. "What do you want? Name the price, I will think about it."

Nova leaned back, steepling his fingers as he studied Harry with quiet amusement. "Now that's the right question."

For a moment, he mused. Money? Not urgently needed. Artifacts? Harry had a few valuable ones, especially the Invisibility Cloak, a Deathly Hallow. But Nova doubted he'd part with something so deeply tied to his father. Bloodline abilities? Parseltongue was intriguing, though a vibrating tongue… hmm, May would have way too much fun with that one.

But none of those were what he truly wanted.

Nova smirked. "Knowledge. I want magical knowledge."

Harry tensed. "Knowledge?"

Nova nodded. "I want a copy of your entire magical knowledge—all the spells you know, your understanding of magic, your battle instincts, everything."

Harry frowned. That didn't sound too bad. It wasn't like he'd be losing anything—just sharing a copy. If that was all Nova wanted, then—

Before he could answer, the system flickered.

---

[TRADE INVALID]

[CUSTOMER'S MAGICAL KNOWLEDGE IS BELOW REQUIRED THRESHOLD]

[TRANSACTION REJECTED]

[ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: CUSTOMER MUST INCREASE THEIR OVERALL MAGICAL KNOWLEDGE BEFORE TRADE CAN BE PROCESSED]

---

Nova raised an eyebrow. "Huh. That's a letdown."

Harry scowled. "What now?"

Nova chuckled. "The system is rejecting the trade because you don't have enough magical knowledge. Basically, you're not qualified to make this deal yet."

Harry's grip tightened. "So I have to learn more before I can even pay for the information?"

"Exactly," Nova said, his grin widening. "You need to raise your magical knowledge to a certain threshold before the system considers it a fair exchange."

Harry let out a bitter laugh. "Brilliant. Even when I try to take a shortcut, magic finds a way to screw me over."

Nova, however, wasn't amused. This wasn't good. He needed magical knowledge. He couldn't use magic, but he would deal with magical people in the future—maybe even more than just wizards. Understanding their abilities, their techniques, their rules—it was essential.

Besides he noticed a few things about his mutant ability. He needs this magical knowledge to verify his doubts and guess.

So he needed to alter the terms so that the system would approve the contract.

Frowning in thought, Nova typed rapidly on the system screen. If Harry wasn't currently qualified, then the solution was simple:

Instead of a one-time transfer, Nova would receive Harry's magical knowledge as he learned it.

---

[TRADE TERMS UPDATED]

[REQUIRED MINIMUM: HIGH MASTERY OF AT LEAST FOUR BRANCHES OF MAGIC]

[CURRENT LEVEL: BELOW INTERMEDIATE IN ALL FIELDS]

[RECOMMENDED PATH: STUDY, PRACTICE, AND EXPAND MAGICAL REPERTOIRE]

[ALTERNATIVE OPTION: ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE THROUGH EXTERNAL MEANS]

---

Nova tapped his fingers against the table. That last line—acquire knowledge through external means—gave him an idea.

He smirked. "Alright, new deal. Instead of giving me all your magical knowledge at once, you'll share whatever you learn, as you learn it. Every spell, every technique, every insight—you'll pass it on, and the system will update my knowledge in real time."

Harry's eyes narrowed. "Every spell? Every technique?"

"Every single one," Nova confirmed, his smirk never fading. "As long as it's something new to you, I get the knowledge too. The moment you understand it, I'll understand it as well."

Harry clenched his jaw, his thoughts swirling. It wasn't just the contract itself that bothered him—it was the feeling of it. The idea that everything he worked for, every spell he mastered, every insight he gained, would just be handed over to someone else. It made his skin crawl. Altough it would just a copy but still.

Learning magic wasn't easy. It took effort, trial and error, the frustration of failure before the satisfaction of success. And now, someone else would just receive all of that without lifting a finger?

It felt wrong.

But at the same time… what choice did he have?

He needed answers.

He could refuse, sure. Tear up this deal, walk out of here, and pretend this conversation never happened. But then what? Go back to blindly stumbling through the dark, hoping he found the right path before it was too late?

Or he could take this deal, accept the trade, and finally get some real information.

His stomach twisted. No matter how he looked at it, he knew what his answer had to be.

His shoulders sagged slightly. "And if I don't?"

Nova shrugged. "Then you stay in the dark. You wanted answers, remember? The system won't let me sell them to you until we strike a fair deal. This way, you don't lose anything, and I get what I want over time."

Harry exhaled slowly, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah, yeah. I get it." He muttered. "Doesn't mean I have to like it."

Nova grinned. "Of course not. But it does mean you'll be stronger for it."

Harry scowled. "You keep saying that like it's a good thing."

"It is a good thing," Nova replied easily. "The stronger you get, the more control you have over your own life. This way, you're not just taking what I give you—you're earning it. Growing. Becoming something more than you were yesterday."

Harry let out a slow breath. He hated how reasonable that sounded.

Nova leaned back, watching him carefully. "At the end of the day, Potter, this is your choice. No one's forcing you. You want the knowledge? You earn it. You don't? Walk away. I won't stop you. But don't stand here and act like you don't have control over this."

Harry looked away, glaring at nothing in particular.

It was frustrating.

Infuriating.

But it was true. He had a choice. And he had already made it.

"Fine," he said at last. " So lets negotiate on conditions?"

Nova nodded and started fine tuning the contract terms.

After they finished discussing the contract terms, Nova typed it in his system screen and the system screen materialized between them.

Binding Knowledge Exchange Contract

Clause 1: Knowledge Transfer Conditions

The Client (Harry Potter) agrees to provide the Trader (Nova) with a direct copy of all newly acquired magical knowledge upon learning and understanding it.

Knowledge transfer will occur automatically and in real time, but only after the Client has personally grasped the subject matter.

The transfer does not remove, alter, or weaken the Client's own knowledge—only duplicates it.

Clause 2: Scope and Limitations

Only structured magical knowledge is eligible for transfer, including but not limited to:

Spell mechanics and applications

Magical theory and principles

Potion recipes and effects

Enchantment and rune knowledge

Battle tactics and dueling strategies

Excluded from transfer:

Personal emotions, thoughts, or subjective experiences tied to learning.

Non-magical skills or irrelevant information.

Private or classified knowledge that the Client consciously blocks from transmission (at the risk of penalty for abuse).

Clause 3: System Library Creation (ADDED BY THE SYSTEM)

The System will establish a Library Database to store, categorize, and index all received magical knowledge.

Clause 4: Additional Support

The Seller may provide guidance, resources, or indirect assistance to help accelerate the Client's magical development.

Such assistance does not modify the contract terms but serves to mutually benefit both parties.

Any attempt to exploit this assistance to manipulate or force knowledge transfer outside natural learning processes will invoke penalties.

Clause 5: Violation & Enforcement

This contract is enforced by the System's Fundamental Laws, ensuring absolute fairness.

Attempts to withhold, manipulate, or corrupt knowledge flow will result in:

Immediate contract nullification

Reversal of exchanged information (both parties lose acquired knowledge)

Potential penalties determined by the System

Any attempt to forcibly extract, modify, or restrict the System's Library Database will be treated as a direct breach, with severe consequences.

Clause 6: Contract Fulfillment

The contract will be considered fully satisfied when:

The Client achieves HIGH Mastery in at least four branches of magic.

The Seller has received the agreed-upon amount of magical knowledge.

Both parties have honored all conditions without breach.

Upon fulfillment:

The Trader gains permanent unrestricted access to the System's Knowledge Library.

The Seller gains the information about Horcrux's, how they are made, number of Horcrux's made by Tom Riddle, their exact location and identify and methods of destruction.

The contract will self-terminate, leaving no lingering magical bindings.

---

As the golden ink solidified on the parchment, a faint pulse of magic rippled outward, signifying the contract's activation.

Meanwhile, Nova felt the system database shift, expanding to accommodate the Library of Magic.

---

[DING! CONTRACT SEALED]

[DING! SYSTEM LIBRARY CREATED]

[DING! KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER LINK ESTABLISHED]

---

Harry exhaled sharply. He had just made a deal that would shape his entire magical future.

He felt a strange sensation settle over him. It wasn't painful—just… odd. Like something had subtly aligned within his mind, preparing itself for the new link.

Nova, however, grinned as the system chimed again.

[DELIVERING DATA ON CURRENT HORCRUXES]

A glowing list of information materialized before Harry.

His hands clenched into fists.

He wasn't in the dark anymore.

Suddenly Harry's attention was grabbed when Nova spoke," Now that we've settled my side of the trade, let's talk about what you get."

Harry's brow furrowed. "I thought I will get information after fulfilling the contract."

"It is. But since you're giving me knowledge gradually, I'll give you what you want gradually, too."

Harry nodded, just little excited about getting information, he won't be in dark this time and also filled with little dread about those abominations Horcrux's.
