"As you may have guessed, this is used to freeze things. and similar to the FS, this also has two modes, and both take the same amount of fuel."
Lyn looked at the slit, which had a blue glow, unlike the red one she had seen before.
"The modes of this one are ray and bomb, I believe I don't need to explain what those do."
Lyn shook her head in response.
"Good." Reed said as he ejected the fuel cell and handed it to her. "One more thing, the bomb mode of this and the spear mode of that should take a little charging time to properly form, so be sure to test it sometime before using them in battle."
Lyn took the second one and nodded.
The next weapon was a small submachine gun.
"This fires seven rounds per second and uses Tier 5 bullets, it should be able to kill Tier 5 creatures if they don't outspeed you." He handed it to her to take a look. "It also has different bullets."
Lyn looked up from her gun to see Reed holding two magazines.
"There are three types, plain metal, explosive, and shock. There is currently plain metal in that, and these are the other two."
It was easy to tell which was which because there were symbols on the sides of the magazine, as well as smaller ones on each of the bullets.
"Don't test the explosive ones in here." Reed warned.
Lyn didn't test any of them, she just put the two guns away and waited for Reed to show her the next one.
The next weapon was a pair of pistols.
"These have bigger bullets than the SMGs, so use these if you need to pack a punch." Reed said to her as she nodded along. "Similar to the SMGs, these also have bullet variety, four types, metal, explosive, shock, and frost."
The next weapon was a rifle.
"This is for sniping and precision, I don't need to explain more than that."
The next was a sword.
"Just a very durable sword, its a Tier 5, so be sure to treat it like it was a gift from your father or uncle or something if you're going to use this in public."
After that were a few different swords, all with their own specialties.
"This one can superheat itself if supplied with mana."
"This one has a freezing effect."
"This one can electrify enemies."
"This one can extend and retract."
They all had similar designs, but all of their hilts had a symbol inscribed in them so they could be told apart with little problem.
After the swords came the other melee weapons.
Hammers, axes, knives, daggers, and spears, all of them with abilities similar to the swords, all of them Tier 5.
Lyn's face twitched as she put away the last spear.
'I didn't think that everything from that room would be given to me.'
Reed sighed. "That's all of the pure offense done." He brought out a circular shield.
'How much more is there?' Lyn was a little exasperated but a little touched by how much effort Reed had put into this.
"This shield has a barrier function, to activate it, just put your mana into this handle."
A blue glow emerged from the shield and expanded to form a circular barrier almost twice the size of the shield.
After the circular shield, came the tower shield, with the same function, and after that...
"That's a saw." Lyn said as she looked at the circular saw that was embedded in a shield. "Why? Why is there a saw in that?"
"Could come in handy, you never know." Reed said as the saw activated and blurred. "It shouldn't be very useful, but you can never be too careful, and who knows? It might just save you someday."
Then came the pairs, small triangular shields to be worn on each forearm to provide more mobility while not lessening defense.
"And that's the shields."
The next item was a suit.
"Now we're talking." Lyn had a sparkle in her eyes as she walked up to the suit and ran her hands over its surface.
Reed chuckled. "I thought you might like it."
"But of course, who wouldn't want a high-tech suit?" Lyn did not turn to talk as she examined the suit.
"This is just a prototype, the actual suit hasn't been made yet."
Those words snapped her out of her admiration as she turned to look at him.
"Why not?" She asked.
"Not enough time." Reed clicked his tongue and said. "In case you forget, I have been busy with quite a lot of things these past few days, I made all this equipment in a bit of a hurry." He looked at her with a disapproving glare. "It's best if you remember that."
Lyn's accusing glare disappeared. "Sorry." She spoke in an apologetic tone.
Reed waved it off. "You can use this suit for now, seeing that we don't have any use for any of these items for now, and I will give you a better suit when it's ready." He said as she looked at the ground. He sighed.
"Do you want me to inform you of its functions or not?"
"Yes, please."
Reed started his explanation.
"First of all, the helmet has a filtration system, I have tested it against a few different air-borne poisons, and it was able to hold all of them, but be careful. It also has built-in sound absorbers and a small barrier rune, in case the bigger one that surrounds the entire suit is not enough."
Reed pointed at various parts of the helmet and they glowed, showing her where the runes in the helmet were located.
"The suit has light distortion, camouflage, barrier, hardening, and sound-absorbing runes, which can help in stealth and defense, along with a cooling system so you don't overheat inside. Other than that, it has no weapon or movement systems."
"It has an energy gauge that will appear in your vision if you are wearing the suit, to replace the battery, all you need to do is this, then this, then this."
Reed grabbed the edges of two of the armor plates on the suit's chest and pushed them out, they moved forward a centimeter and stopped, then he pulled them outwards, and a small level-like object emerged from between the plates, which Reed pulled down, causing the rectangular battery to shoot out from the suits back, as the moved pieces took their original position.
"The barrier and hardening runes will be continuously active, along with the cooling system, but you will have to manually activate all of the other runes if you want to use them."
Reed paused for a moment as he took a sip of water from the bottle that appeared in his hands sometime during his last sentence, moistening his throat before continuing to speak.
"That's all, any questions?"
Lyn shook her head after a moment of thinking.
"Then put it away."
