There was clear disgust in Amira's eyes, but she didn't flinch or show any fear. Instead, she raised her hand and pointed without taking her eyes off of him.

"Lilah," Amira said calmly.

Lilah cracked her neck, already grinning. "Finally."

Amira said, "Take care of these parasites outside," as she moved slowly and deliberately in the direction of the gate. "I'll handle what's inside."

The air tensed. Everyone froze, stunned by her boldness. The mansion guards and the blonde-haired man's lackeys exchanged nervous glances as their bravado began to waver.

Then Amira's voice cut through the tension like a blade. "Oh—and him," she gestured lazily toward the blonde man. "And the two idiots standing behind him? They're awakened." She paused for effect, her smirk sharp. "The rest? Just garbage. Actually, scratch that—everyone here is garbage."

Her squad erupted into low, knowing laughter.
