Chapter 258

"Wind Dragon's Roar!"

A fierce whirlwind appeared before Wendy, taking the shape of a tornado and violently sweeping downward. Even the surrounding air was affected, turning into a visible twister.

In the audience, some people's expressions changed.

"What tremendous force!"

"To be able to use such a powerful technique at C-level… as expected of the Dragon's daughter."

"Even compared to the previous Dragon's child, she's no weaker."

"Now it depends on how the Star's Son will respond."

All eyes turned to the Star's Son.

Ron raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Compared to our training sessions, the power of Wendy's Wind Dragon's Roar is stronger now. Clearly, she wasn't giving it her all during practice."

"It's probably because using such a technique requires a long rest period afterward, which isn't conducive to continuous training."

"But now Wendy doesn't have that worry."

"After all, once this battle is over, she won't need to fight again anytime soon."

The Star's Son's expression grew more serious.

"That attack's not bad."

"But defeating me won't be so easy."

Another Nen beast appeared. Two Nen beasts, one on the left and one on the right, stood beside the Star's Son.

"As long as I block this attack, I'm guaranteed to win. Using that technique will drain too much of your aura, leaving you no strength to continue."

"And I can definitely block it."

Seated in the audience, the Beast's Son looked at Wendy with displeasure.

"She clearly had a powerful attack like that—why didn't she use it against me?"

"Dodging around like that was so annoying."

"Does that mean she thought I wasn't worth using it on?"

"Thought I was inferior to that Star Dojo guy?"

"Saving her trump card for the final match?"

The intense gale swept downward, crashing violently.

"Boom!"

The immense wind pressure even affected the audience more than the Beast's Son's sonic attack had. This influence was stronger by far.

The Star's Son's two Nen beasts stepped forward.

"Is that all you've got?"

The Star's Son frowned.

"You can't even aim precisely at your target. Attacks like this are useful in large-scale battles, but in a one-on-one arena match, what's the point?"

"They pose no threat to me."

But suddenly, the Star's Son realized a possibility. His face changed drastically.

High above, Wendy smiled.

"So you've finally caught on?"

"That's right, this is an arena match!"

"If there's no arena left, how can you win?"

"You Star Dojo types aren't like me. You don't have the ability to remain in midair for long periods."

Wendy's target wasn't the Star's Son himself, but the arena.

Under the powerful assault of the whirlwind, the stage was torn apart. Large amounts of dirt, stone, and rubble flew into the air. The tornado was like a sharp drill.

It kept boring down and down into the arena.

The ground beneath the Star's Son's feet was being sucked away by the gale.

With nowhere left to stand, the Star's Son was forced to leap up. (t/N: Does anyone imagine this scene like what happened in the Dragon Ball Goku vs. Tien fight?)

He floated momentarily, using his aura, but he couldn't maintain it for long—certainly not as long as Wendy could.

The tornado on the arena floor continued raging.

The Star's Son had already dismissed his Nen beasts and now looked downward with a face as dark as thunder.

The arena was gone.

His ability to hover in midair would soon fail.

What awaited him now was a fall.

And falling off the stage meant losing.

In terms of aura consumption, the Star's Son wasn't spending any less than Wendy. But simply having enough aura didn't grant him sustained airborne ability.

Meanwhile, as long as Wendy had aura, she could maintain the whirlwind.

This turned into a battle of attrition.

And a very unfair one for him—he wasn't skilled in this kind of prolonged struggle.

The Star's Son's face was extremely grim.

At this point, he knew he was bound to lose this match.

Yet he felt unwilling.

He felt stifled.

First, the Star's Son believed he was stronger than Wendy. In a normal fight, he had a high chance of winning.

Second, if he'd lost through normal combat, he could accept it—his skills weren't up to par, and that's that.

But reality had unfolded in a way he never anticipated.

Right from the start, before he could even prepare an attack, Wendy took to the air.

Then she used a giant tornado to destroy the arena.

Without the arena, with his limited ability to remain airborne, he had no choice but to lose.

It was too frustrating.

No exchanging blows, no attempts at defense—he lost inexplicably.

And he had no grounds for complaint because Wendy's actions were completely within the rules of the arena match.

It's just that no one had done something like this before.

Ron wore a somewhat stunned expression.

This scene reminded him of the scene in Dragon Ball's martial arts tournament when Tien faced Goku. (t/N: .....Lol)

"Never expected Wendy to choose this method."

"But to secure victory, it's indeed a great way."

"It's within the rules."

"Winning doesn't come in just one form."

The Star's Son soon dropped to the ground.

Wendy still hovered in midair.

The referee hesitated, then announced the result.

"Winner: Wendy."

Wendy smiled, gestured in Ron's direction, and then slowly descended.

At this moment, Wendy's aura and the Star's Son's aura were in completely different states.

The Star's Son had barely consumed any energy, while Wendy had used a great deal.

If the fight continued, Wendy would have no chance of winning.

But since the outcome had been decided, there was no need to fight further.

In the stands, the well-dressed middle-aged man looked at Wendy with admiration.

"A fine response."

Then he shifted his gaze to the Star's Son.

"In terms of potential, that child might still be stronger."

"But the Nirvana Festival—once missed, is missed."

"Everyone's life involves missing certain opportunities and enduring regrets."

The man looked to the side.

"Prepare for their entry into the Land of Nirvana."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Everyone gradually dispersed. Soon, only Wendy, the Star's Son, the Beast's Son, and the fourth-place finisher remained.

A middle-aged man approached the four.

"Wendy Fiora."

"Roben Fiora."

"Ted Fiora."

"Linka Fiora."

All four saluted him.

"Lord Achilles."

Achilles nodded slightly.

"First, congratulations on securing the top four spots of the Nirvana Festival. You have earned the qualification to enter the Land of Nirvana."

"These are your tokens."

Achilles produced several items.

They weren't ordinary objects.

They bore strong Nen energy, but they weren't considered Nen tools.
