Chapter 436

"Ron, go to hell!"

A sudden figure rushed toward Ron's position, emanating an aura clearly stronger than Nesli's. He was a middle-aged man, somewhat thin and wiry, and his entire presence felt as sharp as a sword piercing straight for Ron.

Nesli's eyes lit up.

"This is my chance!" she thought. With this sudden attacker drawing most of Ron's attention, far less focus would be on her. She could use this window to escape, go help her companions, defeat Tuck, and kill Karu.

Then all three of them could survive.

Ron turned to glance at the attacker.

"I remember you. You're one of the core members of the Red Tron

gang."

Images flickered through Ron's mind. The Red Tron

gang was a human‑trafficking group active in the Saheerta Federation, responsible for kidnapping countless children and selling them to different regions—or even killing them outright. Mizaistom had been investigating the Red Tron gang, and Ron had joined his team to observe, since he wanted to collect information on the Saheerta Federation's unique traits.

Mizaistom already had enough Hunter Association members on hand, plus help from certain locals, including Tuck. Over time, Mizaistom painstakingly uncovered the Red Tron gang's whereabouts and identified its core members, who were from all around the world. The founding members, however, came from Meteor City—just like the Phantom Troupe—young people with considerable talent and potential. Because of their experiences in Meteor City, they carried a deep grudge against the outside world and chose to seek revenge.

At the time, their leader had put it like this:

"I'm just doing to the outside world the same thing it did to Meteor City.

"Am I wrong?

"Is it only acceptable for you to treat us that way?

"Why can't we do the same?"

Beyond those initial few, the Red Tron gang recruited other powerful criminals, some purely sadistic, others hungry for vengeance. But Mizaistom wouldn't tolerate their actions. It wasn't that the suffering Meteor City had endured didn't deserve some form of revenge—only that the Red Tron gang targeted innocent victims, not the true criminals.

"Human trafficking in Meteor City was mainly orchestrated by the Underworld Mafia and even Meteor City itself," Mizaistom had said.

"And most of the people you're attacking have nothing to do with that.

"Don't lump the entire outside world and Meteor City into two sides, as if that explains everything.

"You're not the only ones who've been mistreated.

"There are those in the outside world who suffer more than you ever did!

"You're not really getting revenge—you're simply turning the knife on those who are weaker. And Meteor City doesn't have the righteous high ground to claim.

"Don't dress up your crimes with self-serving excuses."

The Red Tron gang's resistance was fierce. They preferred death over surrender. It was a massive, drawn-out conflict that took the lives of several Hunter Association members, but most of the Red Tron gang died in that battle, too.

Originally, Ron hadn't planned to participate in the fighting, and Mizaistom hadn't asked him to. Yet once some Red Tron members saw Ron—a younger individual—they targeted him as a weak link and tried to kill him. Forced to defend himself, Ron fought back and took their lives.

When the Red Tron incident ended, Mizhaiston's team left the Saheerta Federation. Ron, however, stayed behind to continue researching local "traits" for his own purposes. In that time, he was targeted frequently by hidden attackers and by people who pretended to be bystanders, earning Ron's trust before trying to kill him. These endless ambushes made him even more guarded around strangers.

That was why Ron couldn't fully trust Nesli. She seemed like she was on the side of justice; her words appeared honest enough, but Ron couldn't be certain. He wasn't from the Saheerta Federation. He was just a hired killer, taking on Tuck's commission. Whether something was "just" or not didn't really matter to a hitman.

A killer picks a job based on two factors:

1) The reward.

2) Their own mood.

As for justice, who could say what it really was? There's no absolute justice in this world. Righteous from one perspective might not be truly right overall. All Ron wanted was to be a simple assassin who grew stronger step by step, not a saviour of the world.

Now the attacker charged at Ron with overwhelming force, concentrating every ounce of strength into a single blow. In his mind, Ron wouldn't be able to stop this. Though Ron had shown decent ability against other Red Tron members, he only had one A-level Nen Beast, which was currently being held off. His second Nen Beast lacked enough defense to withstand such power.

Nesli thought the same.

"This man is far stronger than I am," she told herself. "Even if he can defend himself, he'll still be forced to focus on that threat and might get injured. This is my best shot."

She looked toward her two companions.

"Wait for me—I'll come save you," she vowed, preparing to slip away.

The attacker was already right in front of Ron.

"Ron, die! Let's see how you block my strike now. You'll pay for what happened to my brother!"

Just then, a figure stepped in front of Ron—Sasuke. The three tomoe in Sasuke's eyes spun, full of fierce intent.
