Did you realize that all these feelings in any relationship come with a pattern and that we are all equal in that aspect only with a difference in reactions?.
It's really funny how you find someone irreplaceable after you replaced them with everything you can think off but, still feel the void they left behind in you somewhere.
Muso had tried his best and hardest to busy himself and be just about anywhere that wasn't near Kirri but, to avail. There he was absorbed in what was their first story time after months and months. She still got it at her age.
"What is the value of a person in a community?. Some of you asked back in the days when the sky was merciful" Teased Kirri making her audience chuckle because, they were being burnt alive during the days and simmered during the night. Even when they decided to sleep in the open.
"Should you find your own path or just roll with everyone else?" Some boy named Siri asked hesitantly making Kirri smile sympathetically. He had a long painful journey ahead of him.
"Siri my young man. You never cease to amaze me with your knowledge and to answer your question, you have to listen to my stories first" Announced Kirri making Siri smile broadly. He loved her. He did, do and maybe always will.
At one point in life he wanted to marry her. That was before he knew what really goes down bond mates. It's traumatizing but, yeah... he loves her.
"So, how do you know that you have found yourself? The answer is simple, You don't.
We were born without our permission, dumb, mute, deaf, incapable of anything but body wants and needs. It is through that dependent of your surroundings which shapes your way of life"
"But, we are of different types in this community. How does that come to be?" Asked Rena curiously followed by grunts and murmurs of the villagers. Well, Rena forgot just how much of a statue is supposed to be in those gatherings.
"Yes, my dearest. We are the same but, quite different. Somebody tell me this... It's hot outside and thirst is everywhere but, there's only a well walking up in the forest with water and they are two people. One of them decides to fetch the water and keep it inside and another one decided to live in the well. Are they different?" Asked Kirri Kirri thoughtfully.
"They clearly are!" Said Desri quickly as Siri with, "No, I believe not"
"Why do you think so, Desri?" Asked Kirri impressed by what aspired that night. She didn't expect to still being able to connect with them like that. Truth be told.
"They were both thirsty and they wanted to quench their thirst for water" Explained Desri proudly making Kirri clap for her, "Good comprehension. Now, what about you Siri?"
"They are different because, One of them thought about their future and kept the water at home for themselves whenever they'd feel thirsty" Explained Siri vaguely before shutting down. He reminded Siri of her boy, Jika.
"That one is lazy" One of the villagers spoke up disgusted. Who hides water in that weather?
"Selfish" Another chimed in. Like, water is one of many things their Gods left for them to share.
"Greedy" Supported another one aggrieved.
"My sun and moon... bless us with your knowledge" Announced Kirri after she had enough of stares from Muso for the past time.
"As you said, same but different. Both of them were thirsty and thought of their future but, one of them took the unforgiving sun under consideration and that the well might someday dry up just like ours did so, decided to keep the water away from the sun" Explained Muso with a grunt followed by murmurs.
"So, why do you think that one decided to fetch the water not, stay there like their friend?"
"He understood the patterns of the unforgiving sun"
"Does that answer your question, Siri?" Questioned Kirri making Siri baffled. All he asked if it was possible to be thinking differently in that village.
"As Muso, the wise has spoken. One of them read the patterns of the unforgiving sun and hopefully. He was spared" Said Kirri making her audience laugh.
"It is possible and very much reccomended to choose your own path because, who would you be if you were like everybody else?" Asked Kirri to the audience and the audience replied, "Everybody else"
"Exactly!" Said Kirri passionately making Rena laugh at her. Rena couldn't believe just how much she understood the woman and her fluent sarcasm.
"I'm confused" Said Desri earning quite a number of supporters on the motion but, Siri got it and that's all it mattered.
If you didn't understand something explained to you more than thrice then it's not for you and that's okay.
