63: WHERE'S ARIANNA?

MIA'S POV

"Your Highness, wait!" Artemis shouted, gripping my hand tightly.

The world around me dissolved into a suffocating darkness. My breath caught as everything went still—no light, no sound, just a deep, endless void. Distant murmurs floated toward me, faint whispers pulling at my mind.

"Mia." Selena's voice pierced through the haze, sharp and insistent. "Focus on me."

I clenched my fists, fighting the surge of anger her voice always provoked. Her presence alone was enough to remind me of everything I had lost, and by everything, I mean Austin. My family didn't really care; they just thought of me as a dreamer, and my ex, Frank, wanted someone real. Nobody took me seriously, but Austin cared. More than anyone else did, and Selena killed him.

"I don't want to hear it, Selena!" I snapped, my voice trembling with barely contained rage.
