Chapter 5: Signing the contract

 DAISY JOYCE

Before I knew it, the clock struck 5 PM, so I decided to take a stroll around the building.

This place isn't just a hotel; it's like a sprawling mansion.

The sheer size of it quickly had me turned around, and I lost my way back to my room.

After wandering for a while, the sky turned dark, and I found a bench to sit on, hoping someone would come by. Thankfully, a middle-aged woman passed by.

"Madam, the second young master is looking for you," she said.

"Alright," I replied, following her, realizing for the first time that he had siblings. So, he has an older brother, I thought to myself.

"Excuse me, do we have a first young master and another young master?" I asked.

She chuckled lightly and answered, "Yes, the second young master has an elder brother, the first young master, and a sister who's considered the pet of the house."

"Do they live here too?" I inquired.

"No, this villa belongs to the second young master," she explained.

 "Got it," I said.

"Just go over there; he's waiting for you inside," the woman instructed.

"Thank you," I replied, making my way.

 DAMOND CHRIS

I was in my study, sorting through some documents when I heard a knock at the door.

"Come in," I called out. She stepped inside and stood in front of me, staring.

"Are you going to keep standing?" I prompted.

"Alright, sir," she said, taking a seat.

"When we're talking, please stop calling me 'sir'; it might raise questions with my family," I told her.

"Okay, s— Let's get down to business. I've thought it through and I'm ready to sign the contract, but I'd like to set some rules before we move forward," she stated.

"It's all laid out in the document; just take a look," I replied.

I picked up the file and read aloud:

 **Rules**

 1. No touching

 2. Avoid invading each other's privacy

 3. Separate rooms

 4. Avoid falling for each other

...and so on. I paused when I reached rule number 10: no sex. I chuckled, "That's good.

I hope you cooperate and maintain a distance, sir." It slipped out again.

"I'm sorry, si… By the way, call me Damond," he said.

"Okay, sir Damond," I corrected myself, covering my mouth. "Again?" I signed the contract and prepared to leave.

"If you need anything, just ask my assistant," he said.

I glanced back at him. "Okay, sir," I replied. He looked at me with thunderous eyes.

"Okay, Damond," I corrected myself. I turned to his assistant.

"My name is Moore," he said.

"You can call me Daisy," I introduced myself.

"Excuse the room now; business starts from now on until six months after. No, you can call me 'Miss Millionaire,' not 'Mrs.' We are in a business deal," I thought to myself.

 DAMOND CHRIS

My phone rang while I was scanning through some documents. I knew it was them again.

"Hello, I don't have the strength to talk. I'm hanging up now," I said into the phone.

 "Wait, Damond, I have something to say. My mom said you know your elder brother is in a vegetative state, and your younger sister has her fiancé;

It's just a matter of the wedding, and you've never talked about any lady or mentioned her name in our presence," she said.

Before I could hear her finish, I interrupted because I could already sense my father's voice beneath.

"I have a fiancé." I could tell they were both stunned. "I will bring her to visit you guys."

Before they could reply, I hung up and sighed with relief. I wouldn't be disturbed again. I hoped the stand-in would do a better job of avoiding suspicion.

I had to get married just for the sake of the company and my parents.

"Moore, tell the maid to prepare for shopping, and you will accompany her," I ordered.

 "Sir?" he stammered.

 "You heard me right."

 "Yes, sir," he replied.

 My phone rang again.

"Hello, underground boss, we have captured one of the men behind your accident, but boss, he's not speaking up," one of my men said.

"Make sure to break one of his legs and his right hand before I get there," I said in an angry, commanding tone.

 "Yes, sir," he answered.

"Moore, get the car ready now."
