Chapter 117 - If You Can Lie Down, Why Fight?

Under the terrifying pressure of Jiren's aura, Goku and the others immediately felt a massive force bearing down on them.

"What an intense presence… Is this guy really coming at us?"

Feeling Jiren's overwhelming aura, Gohan spoke with a serious expression.

Piccolo, sensing the suffocating pressure, narrowed his eyes and said, "This guy's aura is sharp like a blade. Do the other universes really have fighters this strong?"

"This is amazing! I really want to fight this guy!"

Rather than being intimidated, Goku felt his Saiyan blood boil in excitement.

Just from his presence alone, Jiren was already exerting a tremendous amount of pressure, making Goku eager to test his strength against him.

Android 17 crossed his arms and assessed the situation. "Winning this tournament won't be easy. The fighters from this universe aren't ordinary at all."

Observing Jiren, 17 quickly deduced that he wasn't the only strong fighter from Universe 11. The large bearded warrior standing beside him, Toppo, and the rabbit-like speedster, Dyspo, also seemed formidable.

"It's true that we can't let our guard down," Vados added. "The Grand Priest has yet to announce the official rules, but since this is an 80-man battle royale, anything can happen."

At that moment, as the sheer weight of Jiren's aura pressed down on Goku and the others, Kahn remained calm. With just a slight shift of his shoulders, the oppressive force dissipated in an instant.

On the opposite side, Jiren's body trembled slightly.

"Jiren, are you alright?"

Toppo turned to him in concern.

Jiren took a deep breath and said in a low voice, "He's strong."

"For Jiren to say that… it seems Kahn from Universe 7 is truly no joke," Dyspo murmured.

The other Pride Troopers exchanged glances. It was rare to hear Jiren acknowledge anyone's strength.

Even Toppo, who had trained alongside Jiren for years, had never heard him speak so highly of an opponent.

"Jiren, are you confident you can handle him?"

Belmod, the God of Destruction of Universe 11, asked.

Jiren remained silent for a moment before finally answering, "I'll do my best."

Meanwhile, in Universe 7's Camp

Kahn turned toward Bardock, who had been observing Jiren in silence.

"Dad, are you interested in him?" Kahn asked with a smirk.

A sharp glint flashed in Bardock's eyes as he clenched his fists. "Leave him to me."

Kahn chuckled. "Alright. Looks like I won't need to step in."

Although Zeno had personally requested Kahn's participation in the Tournament of Power, Kahn figured he was just here for show.

If you can lie down and let others handle things, why bother fighting yourself?

The Grand Priest Announces the Rules

"The fate of Universe 7 is in your hands now," Whis said.

Beerus, Vados, and the other Gods of Destruction moved to the spectator stands.

Soon, the Gods of Destruction, Angels, and Supreme Kais from the four non-participating universes—Universes 1, 12, 5, and 8—also took their seats.

The 80 fighters from the participating universes had all arrived.

The Grand Priest's voice resounded across the Null Realm with supreme authority:

"It seems that all eight universes have gathered. Now, I shall introduce the competitors for the Tournament of Power."

He began introducing the universes one by one.

Every fighter present carried a look of determination. They had all come here to fight for the survival of their respective universes.

With so much at stake, it was clear this battle would be intense and brutal.

Zeno's Speech

After introducing the participants, the Grand Priest's voice suddenly became respectful.

"Next, let us listen to a message from Zeno-sama. Everyone, please be silent."

At that moment, a miniature palace descended into the Null Realm.

Zeno stepped out, looking down at the arena from above. His childish yet all-powerful voice rang out:

"Welcome, everyone! I've been looking forward to this Tournament of Power. Let's all have fun and fight a great battle!"

The Grand Priest nodded. "Thank you, Zeno-sama, for your wonderful words. Now, let me explain the rules of the Tournament of Power."

The battle will last 100 Tacks. The center pillar will sink over time, and the match will end when it becomes level with the ground.

Flying is not allowed, except for those with natural wings.

No weapons or killing are permitted.

No outside assistance is allowed (e.g., Senzu Beans).

Fighters are eliminated only if they are thrown off the ring. Even if someone is unconscious or badly injured, they remain in the match as long as they are still in the arena.

The team with the most remaining fighters at the end will be declared the winner.

The MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the tournament will receive a wish from the Super Dragon Balls.

"The rules explanation is now complete. All fighters, prepare yourselves," the Grand Priest announced.

A tense silence filled the arena.

The gods of the 12 universes held their breath as they watched the 80 warriors standing in the ring.

For the eight participating universes, this battle was their last hope. The Gods of Destruction and Supreme Kais watched anxiously, knowing that the fate of their universe now rested in the hands of their ten chosen fighters.

Even though Universe 7 had Kahn, the strongest fighter among them, the Gods of Destruction still had a glimmer of hope.

If they could survive and keep their numbers up until the end, they might just be able to secure victory.

Within the arena, the heavy atmosphere lingered.

Then—

BOOM!

The Grand Priest's commanding voice shattered the silence:

"The Tournament of Power… begins now!"

In an instant, the quiet tension erupted into an all-out battle royale!
