Big bro

The next morning

Luna woke up with the sound of hushed voice and giggles. She opened her eyes and say two nurse attending to Daniel.

Luna lay silently on the couch, not wanting to disrupt the nurses as they tended to Daniel. But as she listened to them giggle and whisper about his good looks, her cheeks flushed with annoyance.

When one of the nurses mentioned a "girlfriend," Luna couldn't help but think, "Me? His girlfriend? They must be joking."

But before she could correct them, a nurse spotted her and gasped. "Miss! We didn't see you there. We're just changing your...uh...boyfriend's drip."

Luna opened her mouth to set them straight, but then closed it again.

Luna decided to let the nurse's assumption slide. After all, who knew how long she'd be waiting here, and she didn't want to make things awkward. So she smiled and replied, "No problem. I hope he's doing better?"

The first nurse gave Luna a sympathetic look. "Well, he's stable, which is good. He just needs to rest. But I'll say, for a guy in a coma, he's sure popular with the ladies!" She giggled again, her partner joining in.

Luna resisted the urge to roll her eyes.

Luna watched as the nurses left the room, still giggling to themselves. As the door shut behind them, she turned to Daniel, her expression half-amused, half-frustrated.

"I'm telling you, this girlfriend business is going to be a lot of trouble for me," she said, shaking her head. "Every woman in this hospital seems to have eyes for you. If you had a girlfriend, she is going to have a hard time fend off a lot of admirers!"

A small, wry smile played across her lips.

Luna stretched, her body still sore from sleeping on the couch. She glanced over at Daniel, still slumbering peacefully, then made her way to the reception desk because she wants asked if they could send one nurse to Daniel room because she wants to go home. The receptionist sitting down was different from the one yesterday . She answered Luna, and Luna will say " Good morning ma, please I'm going out and I need some to help me watch a patient."

The reception replied with a smile on her face" which room miss."

Luna will tell her the room and the receptionist will say okay I will assign someone there okay.

Luna thanked her before , she decided to head back to his room for a proper goodbye.

Standing by his bed, she spoke softly. "Goodbye for now, handsome stranger. Hopefully, next time I see you, later,"

Luna headed home, stepping into the first cab she could find. As the cab weaved through the streets, she pondered all that had happened over the last 24 hours. It felt like a dream, or maybe a nightmare.

When she arrived at her family's bungalow, her mother was waiting for her, her expression a mix of relief and irritation.

Luna's mother, seeing her daughter's disheveled state, immediately inquired, "Luna, my baby, how are you? You look exhausted!"

Luna sighed. "Mom, I'm tired and stressed."

Her mother's expression softened. "Oh, Luna. How is the patient you saved?"

Luna managed a weak smile. "Daniel's okay, Mom."

"Who's Daniel?" her mother teased, a playful grin curving her lips.

Luna flushed, quickly changing the subject. "I'm starving! Can you make me a sandwich?"

Her mother chuckled. "Of course, dear. Go freshen up. And," she added with a mischievous glint in her eyes, "please brush your teeth. You smell like you've been rolling in the gutter!"

Luna laughed, despite her weariness, and playfully shouted back, "Mom!" before rushing off to her room.

Luna's mother continued to laugh as she made her way to the kitchen to prepare a sandwich. Luna, meanwhile, took a quick shower and changed into clean, dry clothes.Jeans and white polo.

When Luna joined her mother in the kitchen, the sandwich was waiting for her on the table. "Here you go, love," her mother said, patting Luna's head. "Eat up."

As Luna took the first bite, savoring the taste of the sandwich, her mother asked, "So, Luna, tell me more about Daniel."

Luna replied with the sandwich inside her mouth,"Daniel is man I saved, I saw his name by checking his Id.

"Daniel, huh? Sounds like a handsome name," her mother teased. "And how's he doing?"

"He's stable, but still in a coma," Luna said. "I'm going back to the hospital tomorrow to check on him. I've got some time off from the restaurant."

Her mother nodded. "Oh, and Emma called. She was worried about you. She said she tried to call you last night, but couldn't get through."

"Yes, Emma called. She said she's been trying to reach you last night," Luna's mom repeated. "And I'll call her back with your phone."

Luna nodded, taking another bite of her sandwich. "Thanks, Mom. And by the way, I need to get my phone repaired. It got wet in the rain, remember?"

Her mother smiled. "Yes, I do. Don't worry, I'll take it to the shop tomorrow."

Luna finished her sandwich, feeling her energy slowly returning. "Thanks for the food, Mom," she said. "I think I'm going to hit the hay now. I need to be fresh for night . And who knows? Maybe he will wake up in the night."

Her mother chuckled. "Maybe. Or maybe he'll wake up and ask for your hand in marriage."

Luna laughed, shaking her head. "Mom, you're crazy. But thanks for the thought."

In a faraway place, two young men stood in a well-appointed office. The younger of the two, who appeared to be about 20 years old, asked his colleague, "Have you found any news about my older brother? It's been days."

He clenched his jaw, frustration evident in his expression. "Have you contacted his assistant?

The assistant nodded. "Yes, sir. But they haven't been able to locate him either. He said big boss said he was going for a drive."

Just then, a woman entered the office. She appeared to be a friend of John. She looked at John with concern, her voice tinged with worry. "Hey, John. Where's your brother? I've been trying to call him, but he's not answering."

John sighed. "He's on a business trip, Melissa. And I'm getting tired of answering everyone's questions about it."

Melissa raised her eyebrows, annoyed by John's tone.

Melissa glared at John. "Well, I'm sorry if it's an inconvenience for you, but your brother is missing and I'm worried about him. Do you know where he was headed?"

John rubbed his temples, as if trying to ease a growing headache. "I don't know all the details, Melissa. But if you must know, he was going to Country X for business. He's been there before. It's nothing to worry about."

Melissa crossed her arms. "Well, it sounds like you don't really know any details. And he's not answering his phone.

John's voice took on a harder edge. "Look, I appreciate your concern, but my brother is a grown man. He can take care of himself. Besides, he's done this trip before. It's routine."

Melissa wasn't convinced. "But it's not routine if he's not answering his phone. Something's wrong, John. Maybe we should..."

John cut her off, irritation clear in his tone. "We should mind our own business, Melissa. My brother is a capable adult who knows how to handle himself. He'll turn up. Okay"
