CHAPTER 15: SOMEONE FROM THE PAST.

A new girl was transferred to our school three days after the mid-sem examinations. I was sleeping at the back of the class when she was introduced so I did not notice when she came there. I opened my eyes when Clara tapped me to wake up for lunch. I stood up immediately and turned Clara’s direction. I rubbed my eyes with my index fingers and was about to leave when I felt someone pulling my uniform from behind. Normally Clara does that but she was right beside me this time so I wonder who did it. I turned to see a face I’ve been missing for a very long while. “Faith!” I exclaimed immediately I saw her. She was practically the only friend I had in middle and junior high school. I had other people I called friends there but they were all scared of me. Once I found that out, I considered them as not my friends anymore because friends are not to fear each other. Faith gave me a tight hug and I hugged her back. She was a really amazing girl. I introduced her to Clara and Crystal who had joined us. My main question had even disappeared from my head which was what she was doing there but it was answered by Crystal before I even remembered to ask again. “So, you know the new girl from middle school.” Crystal said and giggled a bit. She held hands with Clara as they led the way and I followed closely behind with Faith beside me. We sat on the same table and were joined by almighty Mike. He was actually one of the major hearts rob of the school. I didn’t blame him though. He had the appearance of a Disney prince, was smooth with words when talking to ladies and was also the captain of the basket ball team. Its natural he’ll get that kind of attention. Faith was completely captivated by him on sight and I could see where this was going. I pinched her to stop staring at him like that and she was finally out of her daze. We walked around a bit after lunch and club activities were next. Faith decided to join Mike’s gaming club which was the call of duty gaming club. She went with Mike while I went with the girls to the Free Fire club. We heard the call of duty boys screaming as something was going on in their club room but that was not my territory so I did not really mind. When club activities were over, I found out they were screaming because Faith was defeating the guys in the game. I laughed a bit when I heard it because I knew her hidden gamer identity. Faith was also interested in the gaming plan of the class back when we decided to play games but since a lot of girls in the class were not gamers, she was the only female gamer that survived the harsh reality of the call of duty world. The game itself was not too difficult to play but the gamers were really toxic. I thought she would give up in the beginning but she kept on pushing to become one of the most feared call of duty players. She was a legendary rank player and a lot of guys in the call of duty gamers club could not reach there. It was the highest rank in the game and was no joke to get there. She also took her own laptop to the call of duty club room so she would not complain if she got popped by her opponents. The only player who was on par with her in the call of duty club was the president, Mike. He quietly observed as she won against almost half of the guys in the club. I could not stop laughing when Mike was explaining the story to me. He added that the girl is a monster with a sniper rifle. I have been laughing so hard that my ribs were hurting while he told me what happened in the club. He added that one guy challenged her to a sniper’s game and the guy who was the best sniper in their club was not even able to land a single shot on her when he played against her. I kept laughing and told him to work harder if he wants to beat her. I tapped him twice on the shoulder and heard Crystal call my name from behind. I turned to look at her and she rushed to me while holding Faith’s hand. She asked me what my nick name was and I realized that faith had spilled something. Damon the Denon she answered it herself and then said “sounds cool I admit.” I laughed along with Crystal and the rest of our friends joined us to laugh.
