"That’s why we need to talk—to make it clear!" Ardan insisted, throwing himself onto the bed and tugging at Aruna’s hand, urging her to sit beside him.

"I'm trying to finish my chores quickly," Aruna resisted, keeping her stance firm. "I just brought in the laundry—I need to fold them before they wrinkle."
