Ardan’s expression and demeanor suddenly shifted—his face was now serious, yet carried an air of arrogance, radiating confidence.
"You’re seriously asking me that…?" Aruna snapped, her irritation boiling over. She had half a mind to bite Ardan’s finger resting on her chin.
"So fierce…"
"It’s because you’re clueless!" Aruna shot back, her voice even sharper.
"Do you want me to spell it out?" Ardan challenged, his tone playful yet unwavering.
"Whatever," Aruna huffed, her frustration mounting.
She swatted Ardan’s hand away from her chin and turned away, purposefully avoiding his touch. But Ardan was faster. He caught her hand and, with incredible gentleness, pressed soft kisses onto the backs of both her hands.
"Please… Stop being mad. The longer you stay angry, the heavier my burden will be later…"
