Going to the Pharmacy

Chapter 105 Going to the Pharmacy

"What a mess!" Aruna hissed in a half-whisper, "I couldn’t sleep at all… I kept thinking about Bang Ardan."

That midnight, Aruna woke up from a restless sleep, her heart weighed down with worry.

She got out of bed and walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water. But she froze in shock when she saw the shadowed back of a man standing at the counter in the dim light.

"Bang Ardan, you’re home?!" Aruna called out in surprise. "Why didn’t you wake me up?"

It turned out to be Ardan—the figure who startled her that night. He had returned home without waking her.

"Hey, Run… Sorry, I didn’t want to disturb you," Ardan replied softly, almost in a whisper, without turning around or looking at his young wife.

Aruna frowned, watching Ardan’s odd behavior, which she found especially annoying tonight. She stood upright in front of him, as he hunched over the dining table—doing who knows what in that position.
