My Uncle My Husband

After a while, Runa finally calmed down. She pulled away from Ardan’s embrace and checked his wounds once again. 


"Want to tell me why you ended up like this?" 


"Long story short, I was careless..." Ardan answered indifferently. "Let my emotions get the best of me. Didn’t think it through." 


"What could make you lose control like that?!" Aruna asked seriously, though still composed. "You're not an amateur... logic is essential in the field. Why be reckless?!" she added, sharply criticizing her husband. 


Ardan frowned, hearing his little wife remind him of the basic principles of fieldwork. A pang of regret hit him for sharing so much with her—about the missions, the risks, and how to handle them—whenever he was home. 


"Huft..." Ardan sighed in resignation after considering a few things. "You, Runa..." he replied briefly, prompting Aruna to raise an eyebrow at him.
