Aruna trembled in shock as she heard Karissa’s whisper of a threatening warning. Aruna could sense a completely different aura from Karissa now. A piercing, sharp aura—far more terrifying than when Karissa had simply looked angry earlier. 


As soon as Karissa’s retreating back disappeared from view, Aruna was able to regain her senses, which had fled in fear moments ago. She took a deep breath to calm herself down. 


"Maybe... maybe this is it, huh?!" Aruna muttered to herself. "Damn, no matter what, she really is a mafia... she had me shaking..." 


Since there was nothing left for her to do outside, Aruna quickly turned around and headed back in. 


"Karissa just now!" Ardan called out, apparently waiting for Aruna in the living room. 


"Y-yeah, you know already?" Aruna responded, startled, her voice faltering.
