My Uncle My Husband

Aruna tried to stifle her sobs, still heartbroken and disappointed in her husband. Ever since their argument that morning, she had locked herself inside the bedroom. 


"I was just worried about him, why did he react like that?!" 


"Is it wrong if I care about my husband?!" 


"Besides... what did Mr. Juna even say to make Bang Ardan look like that?" 


Aruna was still preoccupied with the same questions, repeating them over and over again. Whether in her mind or mumbled out loud amid her complaints and self-reflection in the room. 


"Runa, it's already past noon prayer time..." Mpok Hasna called from outside the room to remind her, "Aren’t you hungry? Have you prayed yet?" 


"Astaghfirullah!" Aruna gasped, startled by the reminder. "Oh... right, Mpok. I forgot..." 


She immediately got out of bed and quickly left her room to perform ablution in the bathroom and prepare for the Dhuhr prayer she had missed.
