Chapter 115: Ardan’s Restlessness
With Karissa’s firm statement, if it had been the old Ardan, he might not have been fazed. But the Ardan now was no longer responsible only for himself. He had a wife and a pair of twin children entrusted to his care. Of course, what Karissa showed now struck Ardan’s heart deeply.
Still, whatever the challenge, Ardan was no amateur. He understood well what was causing the unrest in his heart. But long before he carried the responsibilities he now held, there were missions and duties he had committed to, even if it meant risking his life.
Ardan stood and looked at Karissa.
"Okay, if that's what you want..." Ardan said firmly.
"Indra!" Karissa called as Ardan stepped to leave her room.
"What do you mean?!" she shouted, immediately standing and staring at Ardan.
Ardan turned toward Karissa, showing a cynical smile.
