My Uncle My Husband

Arjuna reacted to Ardan's words, raising an eyebrow as he stared at him. 


"So you already knew about that..." said Arjuna with a bitter smile. 


"Not too long ago... you're impressive though, managing to keep track of my movements..." replied Ardan, sincerely complimenting Arjuna. 


"So you had a hard time..." Arjuna shot back with a proud expression. 


"A bit..." Ardan responded flatly, his tone cold. 


"What a pity," said Arjuna after clicking his tongue. He even made a show of looking disappointed. "I wanted you dead, but you're too much of a pro..." 


"Why? You want me dead?" Ardan asked, his face blank, though his eyes revealed both disappointment and a flood of questions. 


"You damn well know why!" Arjuna snapped, his gaze filled with sadness but also seething rage. 


"No..." Ardan replied quickly. "That’s why I’m asking..." 


His eyes stared sharply into Arjuna's. 


Ardan and Arjuna
