Chapter 136: Aruna Is Kidnapped
"Indra, what’s going on?! This isn’t like you at all, suddenly walking out on your work like that..."
Ardan said nothing in response to Dhani's question. He stood upright, neither lowering his gaze nor looking Dhani in the eye.
Dhani was annoyed by Ardan’s silence, but he could sense that something was clearly troubling him. He still didn’t fully trust Ardan, but he knew just how competent the man was in carrying out any task he was given.
“Is Karissa causing trouble?”
Ardan’s eyes flicked at the mention of Karissa.
“Not sure yet…” Ardan replied curtly, but the faint tone of irritation and anger did not go unnoticed by the experienced Dhani.
“Do you need time?”
“Yes, if you’ll allow it…”
“Fine. Delegate your tasks to Deon. I think he’s learned a lot from his mistakes.”
“Thank you…”
“Go!” Dhani barked without further ado.
