My Uncle My Husband

“Damn it!” Arjuna slammed his desk, eyes wild as he stared at his laptop screen. “Where the hell are you?!” 


It had been three days since Aruna was kidnapped, and there was still no trace of her whereabouts. Ardan, nearly losing hope, had reached out to Arjuna for help. 


“You’ve got no clue where Karissa might be hiding?” 


“I’ve searched everywhere, but nothing...” 


“Did Karissa ever mention anything to you in the time you knew her?” 


“Since yesterday, my brain’s been flipping inside out trying to remember anything I might’ve missed...” Arjuna replied, frustrated. He paused, then sighed in defeat and shook his head, eyes filled with regret as he looked at Ardan. 


Ardan dropped himself onto Arjuna’s couch and leaned back, eyes fixed on the ceiling, his whole body radiating exhaustion. 


Seeing this, Arjuna quickly went to the kitchen and returned with a warm cup of ginger tea.
