Chapter 150 – The End of the Search
Another man fell at Karissa's hands, and it was enough to crush the will of the remaining thugs who had considered resisting. They were frozen, unable to move against Karissa, who had completely lost control of her emotions.
"Open it! Let him in!" Karissa barked an order. "Or... who else wants to taste hot lead?!"
The thug nearest to the door surrendered, intimidated by Karissa's brutality. Reluctantly, he obeyed and began opening the door.
"Hey!" Casdi shouted in protest. "Don’t open it!"
Startled by Casdi’s yell, the thug paused, leaving the door ajar by only a handspan.
"Open it!" Karissa demanded again, her eyes wide with rage as she pointed her gun directly at the man.
Her attention momentarily diverted, a few thugs seized the opportunity and lunged at her to seize her weapon.
Karissa’s reflexes were sharp—after all, she was a mafia daughter who’d been in the field. She had strong instincts in dangerous situations.
