"So, you're telling me that Giorno's godfather took out that BOSS of our organization, the one no one's ever seen?"
Around the restaurant's dining table, several more people had gathered. One of them, a man with silver hair dyed purple at the top and an obviously bad temper, spoke up.
His name was Leone Abbacchio, the most short-tempered member of Bucciarati's squad. He particularly couldn't stand Giorno, the newcomer.
From the way he referred to Giorno as "this kid," it wasn't hard to tell his attitude. He always suspected Giorno had ulterior motives for joining Bucciarati's team.
In fact, his suspicions weren't wrong. Giorno had partially joined the organization to eliminate the BOSS and take his place—but that goal had been achieved by Zuke.
"That's right. Even the BOSS's communication methods are now entirely in his hands."
Bucciarati had a wry smile on his face as he looked at the two items placed on the table.
One was Diavolo's laptop, which contained a trove of organization-related secrets and contact information for many of Italy's elites.
The other was a phone taken from Diavolo, storing contact details and information on many subordinates.
With these two items, anyone could impersonate the BOSS of the Passione organization—after all, no one had ever actually seen Diavolo's face.
Moreover, the laptop contained clues pointing to certain private residences in Italy, which seemingly held leverage Diavolo used to control others.
These things were enough to catapult anyone to power overnight. It was impossible for Diavolo to have willingly handed them over, making Zuke's words highly credible.
"What about the mission to escort the BOSS's daughter?"
Narancia Ghirga, sitting beside Bucciarati and munching on pizza, asked.
This guy was never the brightest, so even after hearing Zuke explain that Diavolo had been killed, he still looked confused.
"Idiot, the BOSS is already dead—what's the point of escorting anyone!?"
Pannacotta Fugo, who was usually responsible for looking after Narancia in Bucciarati's squad, smacked him on the head with an annoyed look, then turned to Zuke with a serious expression.
"Rather, if this man wanted to… he could immediately become the new BOSS of the organization."
"Indeed, with all this classified information in hand, even if he declared himself the long-hidden BOSS of the organization, no one would doubt it…"
The squad's sharpshooter, Guido Mista, also looked at Zuke. Normally, he had a carefree attitude, but now he was dead serious.
"So… Mr. Zuke, let's call you Mr. Zuke for now. You showed us these things—what's your purpose?"
As soon as those words fell, the atmosphere among the group shifted.
For Zuke, controlling the Passione organization was more trouble than it was worth—he was about to leave this mission world. By the time he returned, it might very well be the timeline of Part Six.
And in Part Six's timeline, it would already be ten years after Part Five. He didn't believe that if he left things alone for ten years, the organization would still listen to him.
So, rather than holding onto an organization that was useless to him, he might as well use it to make a deal with Bucciarati's squad.
"My goal is simple. I intend to hand this organization over to you."
Zuke smiled, delivering words that shocked everyone present.
"You all know I'm Giorno's godfather… so it's only natural that I pave the way for his dream, right?"
"Godfather…"
Giorno, standing nearby, looked at Zuke, visibly moved.
He had never felt much paternal or maternal love growing up. The only man who had ever been kind to him was a mafia boss.
It was because of that man that he decided to become a mafia superstar. But he never expected Zuke to be willing to hand over such a massive organization for his sake.
"…This is truly surprising. The Passione organization isn't some small fry; it's a force that has nearly taken over the entire dark side of Italy and even has influence in various European countries."
It was an extremely tempting offer. Even the other team members showed signs of excitement, but Bucciarati remained rational.
As if worried that Zuke didn't truly understand the magnitude of Passione, Bucciarati explained the organization's sphere of influence and then asked again:
"Even with such a vast organization, you still want to hand it over to us, Mr. Zuke? If you're willing, you could become our BOSS immediately."
Diavolo's daughter was still hiding in the turtle's room, so Bucciarati spoke plainly, without worrying that criticizing her father would upset her.
After all, at this point, none of them knew that Diavolo had them escorting his daughter just to kill her.
"I'm not interested in this organization, and it's of no use to me."
Zuke spoke calmly, locking eyes with Bucciarati.
"But as the price for handing the organization over to you, I need a small favor in return."
Here it comes!
Hearing Zuke's words, everyone immediately realized this was the key point.
Handing over such a massive organization—the price must be huge, right? Maybe this guy's Stand ability could steal lifespans, and as a price, he'd demand they give up most of their lives…
Everyone stared tensely at Zuke, waiting for him to reveal the cost.
"I want to take one hand from each of your Stands."
Zuke glanced around at everyone and stated his purpose.
In the end, his reason for negotiating with Bucciarati and the others was to acquire their Stand abilities.
"Blackbird" had already evolved into "Blackbird Requiem," but Requiem Stands retained the original Stand's abilities.
Just like in the original story, "Gold Experience Requiem" could still turn rocks into scorpions.
"Blackbird Requiem" could still acquire abilities through devouring.
"…Huh?"
Everyone was stunned, then instinctively glanced at Giorno. Giorno's "Gold Experience" could turn any inanimate object into a living thing—of course, it could also create body parts to replace lost limbs.
In other words, losing a hand, which sounded like it would impact their future lives, was practically nothing in Giorno's presence.
They had all been prepared to pay a heavy price, but this was it?
