The End of Moro

Jaco's strength wasn't particularly great. Although he always tried to appear confident in front of others, when faced with real danger, he was the first to run.

So, after bringing Moro to the spacious training ground, Jaco immediately bolted—Moro might have had his magic sealed, but with just his physical strength alone, he could crush him to death.

Moro, however, paid no attention to the fleeing Jaco. Instead, he turned to Zuke, his expression grim:

"So everything you told me before was a lie—You never intended to let me leave Galactic Prison alive, did you?"

"I wouldn't say I lied to you. Didn't I bring you out of Galactic Prison? This is the Galactic Patrol Headquarters' training ground, which, strictly speaking, is no longer within the prison's boundaries."

Zuke spoke with an air of seriousness, though every word seemed to provoke Moro, deepening his anger.

"And I didn't lie about the Dragon Balls either. They really exist. I even used them to wish for immortality—Want to test it out yourself?"

"You bastard… Are you saying these things just to piss me off?"

Moro laughed in anger, his expression becoming even more ferocious. With his demonic goat-like head, he looked terrifying enough to make other Galactic Patrol members tremble in fear.

"Killing me won't benefit you, will it? With your strength, do you really need to curry favor with the Galactic Patrol? Even if you blew this place up, no one could stop you."

Moro still held a sliver of hope. Although he hadn't fully corrupted Zuke's mind in time, he was still trying to use Zuke's combat power to persuade him to let him go.

Zuke was already incredibly powerful. Though he was still far from Moro's prime, Moro knew that the Galactic Patrol couldn't even withstand a single blow from him.

If Zuke let him go, he would still have a chance to escape—At least from Moro's perspective, his death wouldn't bring any benefit to Zuke. So, as long as he was still useful, there was a sliver of hope.

Hearing Moro's words, Zuke smiled—He knew that Moro had yet to realize two crucial facts.

First, among the Galactic Patrol was a trainee Angel. In the original story, even decades later, Moro didn't realize Merus wasn't human until the very end.

Second, Moro's death was actually beneficial to Zuke—his body's ability to absorb planetary energy was exactly what Zuke needed to rapidly increase his own power.

Even with Merus watching, Zuke wouldn't dare recklessly devour planets in the Dragon Ball world. But there were plenty of uninhabited planets in other worlds he could consume.

After all, those planets were just wasting their energy sitting there. Absorbing them wouldn't harm any living beings… so why shouldn't he take advantage of them?

The Dragon Ball universe still had Zeno overseeing its balance, but other mission worlds didn't. Losing a few lifeless planets wouldn't have any negative consequences. Zuke had long been eager to put that planetary energy to good use.

"…So you really don't intend to let me go, do you?"

Seeing that his words had no effect and that Zuke was still staring at him with a calm expression, Moro finally realized—Zuke had made up his mind from the very beginning.

He didn't understand why Zuke had targeted his death from the start, but surrendering was clearly not an option.

With a powerful stomp, he launched himself skyward, attempting to use his raw physical strength to escape Galactic Patrol Headquarters and flee into the vacuum of space.

During his time teaching Zuke magic, Moro had carefully observed his body—he might not have recognized the Saiyan race, but he was certain that Zuke was the kind of human who needed to live in an oxygen-rich environment.

Which meant that if he could escape into space, Zuke wouldn't be able to chase him, and he could use the opportunity to break free.

He had already made up his mind—If he escaped, he would search for the Dragon Balls! Zuke's words about the Dragon Balls were likely true, and if he could use them to wish himself back to his youthful prime…

Snap!

Just as he leaped up, something grabbed his leg—he turned back in shock to see that Zuke was still standing in the center of the training ground, not having moved at all.

Something invisible had caught his leg!

"Trying to run? Get back down here!"

Zuke sneered. His Blackbird Requiem had already seized Moro's leg—this guy's escape speed was laughable. In his current state, Moro had lost all his power, with only his physical toughness remaining.

He might not even be able to fire a basic energy blast.

Following Zuke's will, the hand of Blackbird Requiem swung Moro down violently, slamming him hard into the training ground floor. The terrifying impact sent cracks sprawling across the surface.

"Cough…!"

Moro coughed up blood, his aged goat-like face twisted in humiliation.

If that damned Grand Supreme Kai hadn't sealed his magic, if his combat strength hadn't been stripped away… there was no way he would be caught so easily!

"Surviving in prison for over ten million years must have been miserable. Today, I'll set you free."

Zuke looked down at the suffering Moro and spoke calmly.

"Devour him, Blackbird!"

In the next moment, Blackbird Requiem's body transformed into a void-like vortex and grabbed the powerless Moro, shoving him inside without hesitation.

The moment Moro's arm entered Blackbird Requiem, it was torn apart into fragments by an overwhelming force and instantly vanished.

Seeing this, Moro's expression changed dramatically—at that moment, he understood everything:

"So that's it… You bastard had a devouring ability all along! The reason your energy absorption improved so quickly was because of this… And from the very start, your goal was to consume me!"

Zuke didn't bother responding and instead ordered Blackbird Requiem to accelerate the process—He knew villains often died because they talked too much, and he had no intention of giving Moro any chance to resist.

Blackbird Requiem increased its power, instantly consuming half of Moro's body.

Moro watched in horror as his lower half crumbled and disappeared into something unseen, and he let out a furious, despairing roar:

"Zuke, you bastard…!!!"

With his final, powerless scream, the last of Moro was swallowed completely.

In the original story, this guy had absorbed an android named Seven-Three… Now, the tables had turned.
