"Thank you very much for executing Moro, Mr. Zuke."
After devouring Moro and returning to the Galactic Patrol Headquarters, Merus smiled and said this to Zuke.
"I have already reported this matter to the Galactic King. He expressed his willingness to award you a medal. Would you like to accept it?"
"That's great! I don't even have a medal yet. I heard that only those who have made significant contributions to galactic security can obtain one."
Jaco, who had returned alongside Zuke, chimed in from the side. Judging by his tone, he was genuinely envious. His lack of strength meant he had no chance of receiving such honors.
"If you have a medal personally awarded by the Galactic King, you'll get extra points in many planetary qualification exams in the future."
"…Forget it, there's no need for that."
Zuke twitched the corner of his mouth but still shook his head, politely declining the medal, which held no practical value for him.
He recalled that the Galactic King looked like an octopus, and the original creator had playfully designed one of his tentacles to be his ○genitals. Every time Son Goku shook hands with him, he would end up grabbing that.
Zuke wasn't confident in distinguishing between that particular tentacle and the others. He had no intention of making the same mistake as Son Goku and accidentally grabbing some alien's private part—just thinking about it was disgusting.
"Is that so? What a pity. Being decorated by the Galactic King is quite an honor."
Merus still had a smile on his face. He had long since noticed that Zuke wasn't the type to care about such things. What Zuke pursued was greater combat power and the complete annihilation of Frieza.
In this regard, he was very much like the Saiyans Merus had in mind—pure and straightforward. But Merus didn't dislike this aspect of Zuke's personality.
"By the way, Mr. Zuke, I still need to remind you… It's best not to target planets with life, otherwise…"
Perhaps because he knew Zuke was about to leave soon, Merus didn't forget to issue a sudden warning.
As he spoke, he even pointed meaningfully upward with his finger. Though there was only a ceiling above them, Zuke immediately understood what Merus meant.
—If he devoured too many planets with life, it would cause this universe's ranking to drop, ultimately drawing the attention of the Grand Priest and Zeno.
If the ranking fell below a certain threshold, Zeno would personally erase the entire universe.
To be honest, Zuke still couldn't fully grasp the purpose behind the character of Zeno—a being who looked and thought like a child yet possessed the ability to erase universes.
Perhaps the original creator just casually decided to establish a power ceiling to limit the scope of the story. But for someone like Zuke, who actually lived in this world, Zeno was a massive obstacle.
Moreover… Since Merus had gone out of his way to bring this up, it likely meant he had already noticed that Zuke had inherited Moro's ability to absorb planetary energy.
That was why he was warning Zuke: If he only absorbed energy from lifeless planets, Merus could turn a blind eye. But if he targeted planets with life…
Then, Merus wouldn't even need to intervene—the entire universe would be wiped out alongside Zuke.
Zuke merely smiled at this and nodded at Merus, as if agreeing to his request.
In reality, he had never planned to devour planets in the Dragon Ball world. He could always do that in other mission worlds that lacked a Zeno. It wasn't like every universe had an omnipotent deity monitoring its rating.
He even wondered if he'd ever get the chance to devour Zeno himself. After all, aside from his ability to erase universes, Zeno had never displayed any actual combat strength.
But first, he'd have to get past the Grand Priest… That would probably take quite a bit of time.
(T/N: …)
After exiting the Dragon Ball world, Zuke once again returned to the mission world selection interface.
[Honorable Zuke, please select the mission world you wish to enter:
Dragon Ball (Time Unaltered)JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Main Quest Generating)TYPE-MOON (Main Quest Generating)]
Honorable Zuke, your special mission world is:
Yu-Gi-Oh! - Card Stories Chronicles (Refresh Attempts Left Today: 0)]
[Honorable Zuke, you have 1 remaining play attempt today.]
He had one more play attempt left. Since he had already entered the Dragon Ball world and the JoJo and TYPE-MOON worlds were still unavailable, his only option was to try entering the special mission world Yu-Gi-Oh! - Card Stories Chronicles
This was the first mission world Zuke had encountered where he had no idea about its internal development. After all, Yu-Gi-Oh! was just a card game, and the timeline of its card lore was mostly pieced together by fans.
Fortunately, before transmigrating, he had played Yu-Gi-Oh!, so he had at least some understanding of the card lore. He wasn't completely clueless.
"Enter the Card Stories Chronicles world."
Zuke chose this special mission world.
The neon lights illuminated the night city, making it shimmer in a dazzling spectrum of colors, like a vibrant rainbow in the darkness.
Amidst the towering buildings bathed in neon glow, two figures were swiftly moving through the skyline.
They were the Phantom Thief Twins—Ki-sikil and Lil-la. By day, they were popular virtual idols who streamed online using digital avatars. But on certain special nights, they became elusive phantom thieves who constantly left the police at a loss.
Tonight was one of those nights when they were active as thieves. However, their luck wasn't great—they had been tracked down by numerous police officers.
"Ugh, since when did these cops get so smart? They actually set up a blockade for us?"
Perched on the edge of a high-rise building, the pink-haired Ki-sikil looked down at the police officers closing in from all directions and couldn't help but feel a little troubled.
"They usually just eat our dust while chasing us."
"Probably because we've been a bit too active lately. We've caught the attention of the Security Police Force."
Lil-la calmly analyzed the situation.
"I heard that even 'Transporter' has been targeted by a Security Police Force member named Sayomaru. Things haven't been easy for her either."
The "Transporter" Lil-la referred to was Lena, an intelligence dealer who operated across multiple regions. She was a master of disguise, and very few people had ever seen her true face.
The Security Police Force was an elite organization capable of pursuing criminals across different dimensions. They focused primarily on apprehending truly heinous offenders.
For small-time phantom thieves like them, the Security Police Force normally wouldn't get involved. But their recent activities had been a bit too flashy, and it seemed the force had decided to lend the local police some assistance.
That was why these police officers—who normally couldn't even touch them—had managed to surround them tonight.
"So, what's the plan? Should we use our wings?"
Ki-sikil sighed and glanced at her back. Both she and Lil-la had demonic-looking wings growing from their backs. To most phantom thief fans, they were just decorative props.
But the two of them knew better—the wings were real. They could actually fly. They simply didn't like using them.
"Let me think…"
Lil-la frowned slightly, contemplating their escape route. However, before she could come up with a plan, she sensed a presence appearing behind them.
"Who's there?"
Ki-sikil and Lil-la turned around in alarm, expecting to see a police officer who had quietly climbed onto the rooftop.
But to their surprise, the newcomer wasn't a cop.
It was just a young man dressed in ordinary clothes.
