The Objective of the Special Mission World

Upon entering the mission world and realizing he had appeared on the rooftop of a modern skyscraper, Zuke immediately knew that his wish was likely to be disappointed.

If possible, he would have preferred to arrive at a space station or even directly in outer space.

After all, what he most wanted to collect was the Sky Thunder, a colossal robot known as the God-Slaying Weapon, which undoubtedly soared through the universe. Now that he had landed in an urban setting, acquiring the Sky Thunder seemed improbable.

However, it wasn't entirely hopeless. This world might have multiple planets and civilizations, and perhaps the Sky Thunder was located near another planet.

Given Zuke's current strength, combined with instant transmission, traversing the universe was no longer a problem—at most, it would just take some time. Moreover, with his immortality, he had no concerns about suffocating in space.

But before that...

Zuke looked up at the two figures standing in front of him, who were watching him warily—Ki-sikil and Lil-la. He recognized them at a glance.

The Evil Twins, Ki-sikil and Lil-la—virtual streamers by day, twin phantom thieves by night. This kind of setting was actually quite formulaic in many works.

Zuke's mind quickly flashed through the cards that existed within the same world as these two.

Evil Twins, IP Masquerana, Security Police Squad, PSY Frame, Phantom Thieves of Time...

He swiftly determined what he could obtain from these characters—the ability of the Phantom Thieves of Time to travel through time.

The power to traverse time was exceedingly rare in many works. The most famous example was probably Doraemon's Time Machine.

In the Dragon Ball universe, the Angel race also could rewind time, but only by a few seconds, and they couldn't use it freely.

However, in this world, there existed a group of people who possessed the power to travel through time. Naturally, Zuke wanted to seize that ability—it might prove immensely useful in the future.

Bang!

Just as Zuke was deep in thought about what he wanted to accomplish in this world, the rooftop door was suddenly flung open.

Several police officers, armed with futuristic-looking firearms, stormed in and aimed their weapons at Zuke as well as Ki-sikil and Lil-la behind him.

"Hands up, Evil Twins! And their accomplice, that man!"

The leading officer barked sharply at Zuke and the two phantom thieves, his face filled with righteous indignation.

However, Zuke didn't recognize this officer's face. He didn't seem to be an important card character—just a mere background extra.

"It seems he's not with the police. Should we take him with us?"

Hearing the officers' words, Ki-sikil immediately realized that Zuke wasn't their accomplice. Instead, because he was standing with them, he had been mistaken as one.

Now that the police had charged onto the rooftop, Ki-sikil and Lil-la had no other choice. Even though they rarely used them, their wings were their only option for escape at this moment.

Still, Ki-sikil had a bit of conscience. Realizing that Zuke seemed to be wrongly implicated, she turned to Lil-la and asked if they should take him along.

"Running away with us would only confirm his guilt."

Lil-la calmly replied to Ki-sikil with a helpless tone—if Zuke didn't flee with them, he would likely be taken to the police station but would eventually be released without charges.

After all, from the looks of it, these officers had received backup from the Security Police Squad, who wouldn't go so far as to frame an innocent man with no criminal record.

But if they took Zuke with them, then he would be cemented as an "accomplice of the Evil Twins," which would only bring him trouble.

"That's true..."

Ki-sikil forced an awkward smile—what Lil-la said made sense.

Just as she was about to apologize to Zuke and prepare to escape with Lil-la, Zuke moved first.

"Stay out of my way."

Zuke lifted his gaze, scanning the officers surrounding him. Behind him, the "Blackbird Requiem" slowly emerged, releasing a strange energy that rippled outward.

The predetermined outcome: 'The police will fail and return empty-handed.'

The next moment, the officers who had been bracing themselves to capture the Evil Twins suddenly displayed confused expressions. Then, without a word, they all dispersed.

Faintly, murmurs could be heard among them:

"Another failure in catching the Evil Twins today..."

"And we even borrowed a flying-object capture device from the Security Police Squad..."

Ki-sikil and Lil-la, who had been prepared to take off, were stunned as they watched the officers scatter on their own while inadvertently revealing some critical information.

They looked up toward the area nearby, where they quickly spotted a small drone.

The drone was clearly equipped with a rather intimidating-looking launcher, likely intended to fire something to capture them once they took flight.

"…So we really were set up by the Security Police Squad."

Ki-sikil's expression turned complicated. She had thought that escaping via flight was a sure bet, but now it seemed the Security Police Squad had anticipated that move all along.

If not for Zuke making the police leave directly, she and Lil-la would have been captured tonight.

"Ki-sikil and Lil-la, correct?"

Just as the two were lamenting their predicament, Zuke turned his gaze toward them.

"Ah... Yes!"

Hearing Zuke call their names, Ki-sikil instinctively straightened up and quickly responded, while Lil-la also adjusted her posture slightly.

But the moment they answered, both of them suddenly realized something was wrong. They exchanged glances—neither of them had told Zuke their names.

As phantom thieves operating in the city, they naturally wouldn't expose their real names. To the outside world, they were only known as "Evil★Twins" or something similar.

Before they could figure out what was happening, Zuke spoke again:

"I have some things to discuss with you two... Let's find a quiet place to talk."

"…Understood."

Ki-sikil and Lil-la hesitated for a moment but ultimately agreed.

They had no choice—whatever power Zuke had just used was beyond their comprehension. How had he made all those police officers leave as if they had simply accepted, without question, that they wouldn't be catching the Evil Twins today?

Until they understood his abilities and motives, they couldn't afford to offend this mysterious man. So, they could only nod in agreement.
