Not Enough People on the Bed, Huh?

Zuke naturally wouldn't say that he wanted to use the Security Force Police's technology to locate the AA-ZEUS and TY-PHON, as well as the Time Thief.

After all, two weapons capable of planetary destruction were a bit too much for the average person to handle.

Although Lyna was quite a figure in the black market, Zuke didn't think she would know anything about the AA-ZEUS, so he simply stated that he needed the Security Force Police's help to find someone.

"What kind of person requires the Security Force Police's help to find? You're not looking for the 'Driver,' are you?"

She was confused about why Zuke wanted to go through the Security Force Police to find someone, but perhaps out of consideration for Ki-sikil and Lil-la, she didn't press further.

The "Driver" Lyna mentioned was known in Yu-Gi-Oh! card games as PSY-Frame Driver, and was one of the sworn enemies of the Security Force Police. This particular adversary was under Professor F's jurisdiction.

"Although I'm not as close to that guy as you say, I have indeed been pestered by him a lot lately."

As she spoke, Lyna showed an expression of annoyance—Sayomaru had been targeting her, disrupting her transactions every time, and as a result, she had been losing clients.

"If you want to get involved with the Security Force Police, I have a deal scheduled for tomorrow. You can come with me... If nothing unexpected happens, Sayomaru will definitely show up to disrupt things, giving you a chance to talk to her."

Lyna, of course, wouldn't actually contact the Security Force Police for Zuke. As a data intelligence dealer, she knew how to reach out to them, but that would be no different from walking into a trap.

So the only feasible way was to have Zuke accompany her to the deal tomorrow. When Sayomaru inevitably appeared to arrest her, Zuke would have the opportunity to approach her.

Plus, she had heard from Ki-sikil and Lil-la that Zuke possessed some mysterious powers—he had even helped them escape a police encirclement. Tomorrow's meeting would also be a good chance to have Zuke act as her bodyguard.

Lyna would gain protection, and Shin would get access to the Security Force Police—a perfect win-win.

"Tomorrow, huh...?"

Shin pondered for a moment and saw no issue with it. Since his time in this mission world was already limited, he might as well take a break and deal with everything tomorrow.

"Alright, I'll come back at this time tomorrow."

"Hey, are you sure about this?"

At some point, Ki-sikil had sat down beside Zuke, mudging him with her elbow and lowering her voice.

"Don't be fooled by how casual Lyna makes it sound. Being pursued by the Security Force Police is a huge pain. This isn't as simple as dealing with regular cops like today."

Earlier, Zuke had somehow made those officers retreat with just a few words, leaving Ki-sikil and Lil-la baffled about what had actually happened.

But perhaps because he had helped them before, Ki-sikil was now genuinely concerned about Shin's safety. After all, the Security Force Police was no joke.

In this society, they were one of the most powerful secret organizations. Aside from law enforcement, only a handful of people even knew of their existence. Their targets were nothing less than vicious criminals of the highest order.

Because of this, the Security Force Police was equipped with cutting-edge technology. Anyone caught by them had little to no chance of escape.

"Hey, hey, hey! I'm still here, you know! Why are you all worried about him instead of me?"

Seeing how Ki-sikil and Lil-la were so concerned about Shin, Lyna couldn't help but feel speechless. Aren't I supposed to be your friend? Why does it feel like you've abandoned me the moment a man appeared?

"You're already used to dealing with the Security Force Police."

Lil-la's reasoning left Lyna at a loss for words.

"This is Zuke's first time facing them."

That was true. Lyna had long since gotten used to escaping from the Security Force Police. There really wasn't much to worry about on her end, but Shin—facing them for the first time—was another matter.

Still, Lyna found the situation rather odd. She glanced at Zuke and noticed that he didn't show the slightest bit of fear. It was as if the Security Force Police posed no threat to him at all.

"Could this guy actually be just as dangerous as the Driver or the Time Thief?"

For someone to be completely unfazed by the Security Force Police, that was the only possibility Lyna could think of.

Still, she knew better than to ask. If Zuke really was that dangerous and took offense to her questions, she might end up silenced for good.

Better to just take him to the deal tomorrow and let Sayomaru handle it. That way, it would be the Security Force Police's problem, not hers.

{Transitioning to Shin}

After exiting the mission world, Shin slowly woke up.

However, instead of getting up right away, he remained lying on the bed, contemplating the details of this special mission world.

As he had expected, it wasn't based on an anime or manga series centered around "dueling" but rather a world constructed from card lore.

Moreover, the world clearly integrated settings from different universes. Otherwise, AA-ZEUS and TY-PHON had no business appearing in the Security Force Police's domain.

Thinking along those lines... could it be that the Terminal World lore was also included in this special mission world? In other words, the story commonly referred to by players as the DT Saga.

That world had its own share of apocalyptic threats—Trishula, Sophia, Tierra—all entities that nearly dragged the planet into destruction. Shin was tempted to devour them.

"Now that I think about it, there's actually a lot I'll need the Security Force Police to do... Maybe I should just directly absorb them into my ranks?"

A new thought suddenly came to Shin's mind.

The Security Force Police's combat prowess wasn't particularly impressive, but their technology was undeniably advanced. Cross-dimensional law enforcement spoke for itself. Shin's own power was strong enough, but he was lacking in technological capabilities.

If he could integrate the Security Force Police into his forces, assigning them tasks would become significantly easier.

Maybe he could even incorporate them into the King's Army and take them out of the special mission world altogether?

With his plans roughly sorted out, Shin finally sat up and stretched.

Beside him, only Irisviel remained, still clinging tightly to him in her sleep. Meanwhile, Tohru and Sayu Ogiwara had already gotten up to prepare breakfast.

The bed was so large that with only him and Irisviel on it, it almost felt empty.

He couldn't help but wonder... Would there be more people lying on this bed in the future?
