Ahem... Well, I'll head home now.
As evening fell, Shin and Eriri parted ways at the entrance of the inn.
Though Eriri's legs were a little weak, she otherwise seemed fine—after all, she had recovered thanks to the maid-outfit stand-in. The box of items her mother, Sayuri, had given her hadn't been fully used. Not that they hadn't been used at all, but after trying once, both of them agreed that it was more comfortable without.
For Eriri, today had been quite enjoyable.
Not only was her doujinshi noticeably more popular, but she had also bought some things she was interested in at the convention. On top of that, she had spent the whole day on a date with Shin—though if I had to nitpick, the only flaw was Kasumigaoka Utaha's interference midway through.
Still, she had already gotten Kasumigaoka's contact info, and they had agreed to discuss the issues in her book once Eriri got home.
Eriri was fully prepared to tear Kasumigaoka apart in their LINE chat.
Seeing Eriri's triumphant expression, Shin could more or less guess what she was planning to do after returning.
But he simply smiled and waved goodbye, making no attempt to stop her.
Given his understanding of Eriri and Kasumigaoka, the chances of Eriri out-arguing Kasumigaoka in a war of words were practically zero.
I just hope she doesn't get too badly teased by Kasumigaoka's provocations.
After parting with Eriri, Shin wasn't planning to head straight home.
There were still one or two hours until dinner at home. Even if he went back now, he'd probably just laze around on the sofa watching TV, or sit at his computer grinding a dungeon in game.
Of course, Shin enjoyed such leisurely activities—but right now, he had something more important to do. He could use this time to accomplish it.
That's right—he wanted to test whether he could bypass the system's restrictions in this mundane world and enter the Dragon Ball universe using the King's Army.
After some consideration, Shin arrived at a deserted dock area—where only a few abandoned ships remained, with no other people around.
The reason he chose this location was that Reality Marbles worked by overwriting the existing world. He wasn't sure if using it in a crowded place would trigger any unexpected reactions.
Just to be safe, I'll test it in an uninhabited area first and see how the King's Army functions in the real world.
Before officially beginning, Shin sat by the dock, steadied his mind, and opened the system.
Now that he had successfully lifted the playtime restrictions—no more eight-hour anti-addiction limit—he could access the system anytime.
There was no need to wait until nighttime to open the mission world interface.
…
{Transitioning to Zuke}
[Respected Doghead, the mission world you previously entered (Dragon Ball) is currently in a state of "Main Quest Generation in Progress."]
[Respected Doghead, your current special mission worlds are:
Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Chronicle Story School-Live!
(Today's remaining refreshes: 1)]
[Respected Doghead, your remaining daily entry attempts: 3.]
All three mission worlds were marked as "Main Quest Generation in Progress," making Zuke's eyebrow twitch.
"So even the Dragon Ball world is inaccessible through the system. Guess I really have no choice but to test the King's Army."
He took a deep breath, closed the system, and snapped out of his near-trance state.
No incantations, no complicated preparations—Zuke simply stood there as an enigmatic aura gradually radiated from his body.
The next moment, his figure vanished from the dock—along with several nearby abandoned ships, accidentally caught in the still-unfamiliar range of the King's Army.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Several dull thumps echoed in the empty training hall.
Zuke scratched his head as he looked at the crashed ships.
The King's Army, when activated, could drag surrounding objects into the Reality Marble—and these ships had been unintentionally pulled in.
Good thing I deliberately chose a deserted dock for this test. If I'd used it in a crowded area, I might've accidentally sucked in some innocent bystanders. Then, to keep things secret, I might've had to... eliminate witnesses.
But this training hall... So this is indeed the location I wanted to teleport to when entering the Reality Marble.
When activating the King's Army, Zuke could choose the exact entry point—and he had selected the Planet' Saiyas training facility, the same place he had left from in the Dragon Ball world.
Judging by the surroundings, it looked almost identical to when he had last been here—meaning he had indeed entered the Planet Saiya via the King's Army.
But the next question was: Could he leave the Planet Saiya?
Right now, the Planet Saiya existed simultaneously within both the King's Army and the Dragon Ball universe—a unique overlap.
Zuke had entered the Planet Saiya within the King's Army, but whether he could use this to venture beyond the planet and into the wider Dragon Ball cosmos remained to be seen.
Pushing open the training hall doors, Zuke stepped outside. The streets were quiet, with only a few Saiyans passing by—since it was nighttime in the Dragon Ball world, most were already resting.
For battle-obsessed Saiyans, nightlife wasn't exactly a priority.
"Lord Zuke!"
The Saiyans who spotted him immediately straightened up and saluted, their faces alight with excitement—something the former King Vegeta would never have inspired.
Zuke gave them a brief nod before shooting straight into the sky.
Right now, he was too eager to test whether he could leave the Planet Saiya while in the King's Army—he had no time for small talk.
