Malia found herself narrating the events of the today or rather, the events of the day before, as the first rays of dawn now illuminated the desolate landscape.

She recounted everything from Seth's conclusions about the impending danger to the clash that led to their current predicament.

Her voice was steady, but the weight of the story pressed heavily on her.

As it turned out, Mira and a few of the villagers had been acting as a spy for Garick all along, though not entirely of her own free will.

The poor girl had been brainwashed so thoroughly that she genuinely believed Seth and his companions were responsible for the chaos.

Malia had discovered the truth and confronted Mira in an effort to clear up the misunderstanding, but Mira had been adamant about her mission to track and apprehend Seth.

And Malia being one of his companions didn't make matters any easier.
