The snow crunched beneath him as he charged forward, pike in hand, his intent clear.

Around him, the world blurred into motion.

The bears came at him like an avalanche, but he was ready.

"This is it," Seth thought to himself.

His intuition blaring warnings, he acknowledged them

He glanced briefly at the fallen bears behind him.

Their bodies were already starting to dissolve as his curse consumed them, the dark energy swirling back into him.

He would recycle their strength, their essence, and use it against their kin.

The smile on his face grew wider, darker.
