Dao Equaling the Heavens
Thousands of years ago, the great abilities of the three teachings of Buddhism, Daoism, and Demonism decided on a place for becoming immortal. Gu Wen lives as a beggar, enters a household as a servant, witnessing the disordered world, drifting aimlessly.
In a world filled with divine beings, he alone is a mortal.
However, a lowly origin is not a disgrace; striving through the grand path, even as a common man and mundane son, he can still be the foremost in the world.

I found this to be a good story that is also very well written. The MC is a transmigrator that five years ago came to this new world as Gu Wen, a beggar and descendant of a fallen family who sold his family's heirloom to a prince and so became the prince's employee and confidant, saving himself from poverty and hunger in an era of impending war, constant uprisings and rebellion, where people sell their children and themselves as slaves to try to survive. Spoilers below: . . . When an Immortal descends looking for the descendants of the Gu family and it is revealed that his jade token heirloom really did have a fated connection with an immortal and a chance for immortality, Gu Wen does not regret selling it to be able to survive at the time. After severing karma with the Immortal's sect something like a string of text appears on his mind, a system-like ability that allows him to comprehend cultivation techniques.
