THE SNITCH

AUTHOR'S POV

"Adriana, stop struggling. I'm trying to help you." Salvatore's voice was steady, but Adriana could hear the irritation seeping into his tone as he dragged her along the dimly lit hallway to the direction of his study. She twisted and squirmed, her muffled screams echoing slightly even though she knew no one would come to help her, but his grip didn't falter.

"Quiet," he muttered, tightening his hold around her. "Stop moving about and stay still, will you? Don't make this any harder for both of us."

Her movements stilled at his warning, but her glare burned into him. She wanted to scream, to bite, to do anything to free herself, but her instincts told her that he wasn't bluffing and would actually do something to make her quieten down.
