Salvatore was still standing there, looking extremely uncomfortable by the time he had finished talking while I was trying to grasp the implications of what I had just heard from him.

When he noticed that I was silent for too long, he turned around to look at me, frustration etched in his features. "Can you just say something and not just stare at me?" He asked, his tone heavy with frustration.

I rubbed at my face and stood up, having to grip the edge of the table to make sure my legs were steady enough to hold me upright. "I don't know what to say," I murmured.

He leaned back against the door, crossing his arms, his muscles flexing with each movement. "Maybe let's start with what you think about what I said. How do you feel about it?"
