Chapter 63: "Descent into the deep"
The creature's size was beyond comprehension, its towering form casting a shadow so vast it seemed to devour the light itself. Its eyes, glinting like abyssal pools, stared at the group with an intelligence far older than any of them could fathom. Though its presence dwarfed the dragon, the smaller beast stood firm, unflinching. The dragon's composure was unsettling, as if it knew something they didn't.
"You are to go into its mouth," the dragon stated plainly, its tone as ancient and unmoving as stone.
"What?" The group erupted into protest. Even Elyra, who rarely showed surprise, looked momentarily taken aback.
The dragon's reptilian eyes narrowed slightly, silencing their objections. "The leviathan will carry you to the great ocean dragon's sanctum. There, you will face a trial. If you succeed, the weapon will be yours. If you fail…" The dragon's voice turned grim. "It will kill you."
