Trial by flame and fury

Chapter 64: Trial by flame and fury

Thrain found himself suddenly pulled into an eerie labyrinth of darkness. It was disorienting, his surroundings shifted as though submerged, yet he could breathe, and no water seemed to touch his skin. The air was thick with an unsettling stillness, broken only by the dragon's voice, resonating telepathically in his mind.

"Find them," the dragon commanded, its tone both cryptic and menacing.

Before Thrain could question it, he was cast far from the others. The labyrinth stretched endlessly in every direction, its winding paths seemingly alive, twisting and warping as if to confuse him. The walls were slick with an otherworldly sheen, faintly pulsing like a heartbeat.
