Chapter 9

The mystery of how this object ended up in the clutches of the cult or the Lich is truly perplexing. There's no trace of it in any of the cult's journals or records. It's likely a stolen relic, or perhaps they stumbled upon it by sheer chance, unaware of its significance. It could even be a closely guarded secret, with no evidence left behind to avoid any leaks of information. I could ponder this endlessly, but it would lead to nothing, as answers remain elusive. What I do know is that the voice that led me here must have infused me with some understanding of this teleporter. This massive device, towering thrice over me and weighing a ton, shimmering in hues of blue and silver, was supposed to be foreign to me, yet I found myself instinctively knowing how to use it. However, perhaps due to my still tenuous connection to the voice or the possibility that the voice from the EYE is withholding certain details, there are still unanswered questions lingering in my mind. Regardless, when I shared my findings with Her Highness Queen Amleth, the two princesses, Elise, and Guild Master Ram, they all recognized the immense value of this discovery.

"I would like to have exclusive access to this teleporter for the time being. Allow me to conduct my tests first to ensure that all the information is accurate" [Alfin]

Adventurers abide by a fundamental principle: anything discovered during their explorations within the EYE is theirs to keep. There are a few exceptions, of course, such as items specifically requested for retrieval by nations, guilds, or organizations funding expeditions, in which case those items rightfully belong to them. While there are other minor details, this rule is the most widely accepted.

Upon hearing this, I felt a wave of relief that no one raised any objections. Naturally, if either Her Highness Queen Amleth or The Adventure Guild were to seize this opportunity, they would undoubtedly make far better use of it than I could. Yet, I refuse to be that selfish. I understand the significance of allowing others to benefit from it for the greater good of humanity. It's a generous stance, though, to be completely honest, I couldn't care less if those who despise me gain nothing from it. They can fend for themselves, as far as I'm concerned.

"Certainly, let's delve into this topic. I believe it's essential for us to address the functionality of the teleporter right now. This proactive approach will help us avoid any complications down the line. " [Ram]

Ram, the Adventure Guild Master of Mas, stands tall at 2.6 meters, a striking figure with a blend of grey and black hair that hints at his age of forty. Though he belongs to the human race, his giant-like stature suggests a lineage of formidable ancestry. His muscular build may seem intimidating, but beneath that exterior lies a calm demeanor—until provoked, when his fury is something to behold.

"I can only envision how other nations would covet this teleporter," [Kara]

With eyes of excitement, Elise chime in

"Of course! From a merchant's perspective, its worth is undeniable. The steady flow of herbs and the ease of jewel extraction open up a realm of opportunities," [Elise]

"This could also significantly bolster our nation's defense," [Mara]

At this moment, the six of us are united in our optimism, eagerly anticipating the benefits that will arise if the teleporter functions as planned.

"We're in for an extensive discussion, so let me arrange some refreshments for everyone," [Amleth]
