Tempest and Thunder Part II

Senri could not move easily under the heavy rain. Still, he lunged at the man and swung his claws. A red gleam following his claws cut through the air. Zondor avoided Senri with fluid movements, transforming raindrops into sharp rods and hurling them at him.

The battle was increasingly wearing Senri down. No matter what he tried, he couldn't get close to the man, and his clothes were getting heavier and heavier. Meanwhile, Zondor was fighting half-naked, wearing only a necklace on his upper body.

Senri hesitated for a moment when he noticed the necklace the man was wearing. He had seen that necklace before—it was a special medallion given to the strongest warriors of the southern tribes. He realized Zondor was no ordinary soldier.

"So you're not from around here," Senri said during his pause.

"I never said I was. But I've been living here for a while," said Zondor.
